If some are not aware, normally that's how honors and awards are usually bestowed. Someone else speaks on the person's behalf. SRK, Big B have all had person's who lobby for them. If Mr. Virmani spoke on Akshay Kumar's behalf and they acknowledge his contributions to Canada, it is with great pride that he deserved this degree.
Akshay Kumar is a stupid guy with no talent of any sort especially acting. His films are pathetic and he is a bit more. However, hindi audience see him as action hero...Khiladi..biggest joke of the decade...truth is there is no action hero in Hindi cinema, only funny heroes like hrithik, Shahrukh, John Abraham and so on...

tamil heros surya,madhavan,vijay,ajith are all in their 30's.. only rajni and kamal are veteran actors like u have amitabh and dharmendra only ur bollywood actors SRK,saif,sanjay dutt,salman khan.akshay are all in their 40's.. only they'll look like great great grandfather for 19 yr old actress.. first know who are all south actors then start commenting..have u seen surya,vijay,ajith,vikram,madhavan?? can anyone of ur bollywood hero can do the role wat surya did in perazhagan or vikram did in pithamagan ?? first go watch those movies then start talkin about south heros
