Such university are known as "Diploma Mills" in USA. You can get a MBA degree in 1 year flat.

Contrary to the actors getting honarary doctorate, there is one Kannda film actress called Jayamala who has acted with all top kannada super stars and produced an artistically brilliant film and also got national award for her acting and behold she has also written a thesis on 'rehabilitation programmes for homeless women in the rural villages ' after interacting with so many rural women for few years and got Phd presented by none other than the then president APJ!
I think shahrukh has won more awards than akshay?????? then why not Shahrukh been awarded honourary doctorate (shahrukh khan won Best acor awards 2008)

nobody can beat shahrukh khan in popularity. usa times magazine declared, he has world's largest fan following, even beat hollywood actors. why can't u say akshay beat srk. pls chk internet database and think why srk is better than any actor in the world. also think abt tashan. it's a biggest flop in the world.
Rakhi Sawant should be conferred an honourary doctorate. If a school dropout assistant-chef at a chinese thela Akshay Kumar can be made a doctor why not Rakhi.
akki dessrve it. now just oscar is away. akki deserve an oscar. he is best actor in bollywood to date. he suits all comedy, action & romance. good luck
akki is good but Akki needs other actors to make his film a hit he hasnt delieverd a hit on his own like although he is good in comedy only that too are multi starrers like in welcome anil kapoor has better acted than Akki n he has a tendency to take credit from all others.

As I said before, actors deserve recognition for excel in their field, that is acting, but a doctorate should be awarded to those who work for it. If Akshaye Kumar had applied or written a doctorate on his field of work and defended it infront of the jury of that university, then he deserved to get the title. Otherwise, NO. Not him, not any other actor or actress.
