It indicates tha we should develop the code of conduct and inculcate the discipline of decency as had been in our culture. The people should convey their agony in real terms as they are being coaxed by the political parties on some issues. This is the only way to avert further erosion of our moral and cultural values.

'Our Culture' is the most misunderstood phrase in India. We have to come to terms with the fact that culture is not something external. It is something within each of us and no single person owns the culture or has any say on it. When someone says 'Wearing saree is Indian culture', it doesn't mean many Indian women would like to wear Jean and 'our culture' is forcing them to wear saree. It means majority of Indian women consciously decide to wear saree and because of many such conscious and voluntary decisions, wearing saree becomes our culture. To quote Pascal Boyer, 'Culture is the name of a Similarity'. So, when someone says Indian women should not wear jeans because of 'our culture', it does not show his or her regard for culture. It just shows this idea has some other (political, ego maniacal, etc) advantage inside that individual's mind.
Sitting cross legged on the dais with the Chief Minister caused disrespect..?? What do you want her to do...?? Showing off her thing Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct) style..?? I'm sure she was invited on the dias by the organisers... They probably wanted a peek-up-skirt.. Thus the fiasco... No wonder it caused "mental agony to the people of Tamil Nadu" coz she didn't quite show all that they wanted... I wonder how many Hindu Makkal Kachi workers ended up with wet dreams imagining her "had she not crossed her legs"... Mental agony and Trauma indeed... Sure they remembered her dress almost 10 days later... All this while they were so damn traumatized thinking about things that wasn't shown...

If she is comfortable with her dress, what is the problem. If these ppl get very sexually aroused at seeing her its their problem. Anyway dress says a lot about people's nature. From that pic u can say abt the family of that girls.
