Goodness...I had no idea there was so much anger in people that they were against names!!

In my experience it is a mutual decision between parents and no one else's business. My Indian girlfriend married to a German has totally Indian names for her daughters and I don't hear any of his countrymen arguing.

Every parent wants to keep a lovely and special name for their children...give them their space guys.

Whats in the name?
by Raj on May 01, 2008 10:23 PM  | Hide replies

What could be the name of second son?
I hope he names after hindu god. First one was a waste name, which would land the kid right in the hands of custom officers in the west- they putting their hand in all places one can imagine.

Anyways first will be touched by many in the US customs, lets see the second one.
thus the future is in the name....

I am nto sure in which language Rehan wod mean 'chosen one'. Well as far as Arabic is considered, Rehan means "sweet scented Basil". As for chosen one, the arabic word is Mustufa.

Why Bedouin names ?? India has a vast repository of wonderful deep meaning names...why are Saif's sons named after Arabs like Ibrahim?? are we short of great people in India?? Take charge Hritik..no Islamic names for your Hindu baby.

ibrahim was not an arab. all monotheist religions respect ibrahim enormously and equally. your name deepak is the same as someone being called siraj. these are adjectives and all languages are beautiful. please refrain from propagating hatred. we have seen enough sir, havent we?

Please correct me if I am wrong. first son is one-and-half-years old. so 18 months. Assuming she deliver only after her 9 months, she must have become pregnant when their elder son was 9 months, not 6 months..Correct?
