I disagree with both of you. I visit regularly ( business trips by flights only ) to Bangalore, Chennai, Kerala & Hyderabad. Inspite of my hectic schedule and visits , I see to it that i watch one south indian movie there. Infact, I enjoy the way the movie is made. I know many of my friend who are directors/producers of south indian cinema. Guys, I tell u that they are the professionals in the world. The committment, technology, co-ordination and other things in making a south cinema is mind-blowing. They are far ahead of Bollywood.

There have been numerous films in Tamil which are good and logical. Most of Maniratnam's films are in Tamil (only then did he come to Hindi to make Guru). We have had so many films with emphasis on story/screenplay than Hindi. Bollywood uses our technicians and artistes (AR Rahman, Maniratnam, Asin, etc).
Dont fool around here. Tamil cinema is as good as Bollywood when it comes to make films (in fact I would say BETTER THAN BOLLYWOOD!)
