All of you who are barking on kannada films should know one thing.Many great film personalities like Maniratnam & Anil kapoor(Pallavi anu pallavi),Kamal Hassan(benkiyalli aralida hoovu,Pushpakavimana),Rajinikanth(sahodarara saval),Shivaji ganeshan(School Master),Arjun Sarja,Prakash Rai,Tiger Prabhakar,Ramesh Aravind.....list goes on,all of them did the films in their early days.Thats the power of KANNADA soil.

Kannada movies started international trends: Eg: James Bond series started after Ian Fleming saw Agent 999 Operation Jackpotalli and Operation Diamond Rocket starring Dr. Raj. Die Hard was a copy of Nishkarsha. Tarzan movies started after they saw Tiger Prabhakar in Kaadina Raja. After Kannada Film award function, Hollywood conceived Planet of the Apes! Sigmund Freud theories are based on Upendra's"A".

Telugu,Tamil and malayalam movies are improved lot from south except Kannadian movies. Kannadians movies are still living in 70's like same sentiments, masalas.
Kannadian movie Jogi is big hit in Karnataka. What is there in that movie to become blockbuster? This movie would have released in 70's. Grow up kannadians.

I know tel/tam movies. Excpet cheap comedy and lots and lots of violence they show nothing.

No way, Kannada comedy is highly inttelligent. Sample this scene from a movie I saw on TV recently. The cops will catch a fat , bald guy and tie him to a chair for questioning. They threaten that they will let the police dog loose if he does not answer. Obviously he does not and after much loud screaming and bad acting they let loose the dog which turns out a thin guy on a leash just wearing his undies. He promptly bites the fat guys crotch while fat guy grimaces comically.. hilarious and highly intelligent..what say?
