No way...this cannot be true!!! I am shocked beyond words. Not only cos he was one of my fave directors (The English Patient is one of my fave films) with sooo much still unaccomplished, but only one hour back, I was reading about an interview with him about his adaptation of 'The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency' and was inspired by him to look up the book online. Then somehow I came across this news article and am stunned by the horrible coincidence. He was so talented at bringing great works of modern literaure to life in an array of exotic films...it saddens me to think of what other wonderful creations were within him that we'll never be able to enjoy now. A very sad & premature loss. I'll really miss you Mr. Ming!
