Why are some Indian guys so bent on calling any innocewnt-faced or sweet-faced chap as gay? Really these chaps are too conscious of their own ugliness.
Last they were commenting on muscles of SRk , John Abraham, etc. I wonder if any of these chaps have one decent muscle to boast of.
Even in saawariya, bhansali made the movie as a tribute to raj kapoor by havin the bar named RK and also ranbir mouthin of the dialogues of his father's in karz.
Now in this film, the name is inspird from one of the songs in a rishi kapoor film. Seems like evry director wnts to get a rishi kapoor out of ranbir kapoor, does any filmmaker cares for the real ranbir kapoor. If not so far, we ar only seein a rishi kapoor reincarnated.
Poor ranbir, he might not hav those kapoor nicknames but he is known only by rishi kapoor. He evn had to share the stage and popularity w/his father whn he got the lifetime award in filmfare.
Looks like ranbir is another abhishek bachan bein in the shadow of his father by getting all the romantic roles alrdy.

SRK's success is the result of his own hard work.......Ranbir is just another starkid.....whereas Shahrukh not being one is the king of bollywood today......and for your kind info......srk's don was a much bigger hit than the original version .......even after inflation

NO, GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT MR. ON!!! Percentage wise The Original Don did FAR-FAR better business at the Box Office and swept away all the major awards at the Filmfare (Best Actor, Amitabh Bachchan, Best Singer, Kishore Kumar, etc.) unlike the SRK version that hardly won any popular award!!! Moreover, SRK's Don's DVD is available just for Rs. 49/- (Discounted Becoz of its poor Demand rate) but the Original Don will still cost you Rs 249/- and is amongst top best sellers till date (Courtesy, Indiatimes.com / shopping / movies)

@Sumedha, ur very much corrrect about the facts that you have presented here and im very much impressed about ur knowledge regarding these, but i am not at all agree with you. what my opinion here is the original DON success in percentage wise is due to the people's taste of action movies at that time, the theame of this movie at that time was one in a hundread film, and now this theame are common in every 2 or 3 films. And the success story of new DON is due to its publicity and obvious cos of SRK.

:) Mr. Khan For your kind information, Jab We Met's video rights have been acquired by Moserbear - The company that has a marketing strategy of selling all DVD's (Be it New or Old, Hit or Flop) within the maximum amount of 49 rupees! Plus, the SRK's Don's video rights are with T-series which %u201Conly%u201D cuts down the price when a home video does't sell well. Just like it%u2019s competitors %u2013 Shemaroo, Eagle, and all.. & Yes, SRK%u2019s Don DVD is for Rs. 49/- only, you go and check out your nearby DVD parlor ( becoz that Eros page hasn't been updated for months) Moreover, before continuing this debate just check the indiatimes page that girl (Sumedha) is taking about and also do read today's Delhi Times%u2019 last page. It's meant for all you SRK's crappy Don lovers who have no clue abt the Big B's Thrilling Original version, The Classic!

Yup, that's what I also meant Mr. Joshi! That's the reason why the first one is a cult-classic and the SRK version is not! So you are in a way not disagreeing but agreing with me!!!

@Sumedha: yes, may be in an indirect way im supporting you, but im not agree with ur fact of proving a film's popularity based on the prices of movie CDs and DVDs. Here you mean is lower the price of the movied cd, worst is the movie.

Why Not?? I mean who liked OSO? Even though it's a Biggest Blockbuster and all, but i am sure it's DVDs won't sell gud! Didn't get it?? I am basically in a way talking about the REPEAT VALUE of the two Dons. Becoz one would only buy a VCD/DVD of a particular film to watch it again & again, to make it part of his or her collection; even after watching it in a theatre! Ab Samjay!
