Manisha

1942 a Love Story happened in 1992, that is 16 years ago. Manisha was ravishingly beautiful then. But she is almost 38 now. She has had her tryst with affairs, alcohol and agony!

So it is no wonder she looks haggard. But she should be admired for coming out in the open without much hesitation.

Let her live her life the way she wants to! What is your problem Mr. Bandekar?

Very well said, Mr. Govind Raj. In fact, I too have the same opinion about her. For how long can you hide your age? Make-ups and Plastic surgeries may show her young for a while, but soon, the age conquers. I think one should accept gracefully that they are getting old. It's natural and there is no need to get panic about it.

Rediff and its paparazzi must apaologize to Manisha
by Rajan P on Mar 04, 2008 11:21 PM  | Hide replies

Manisha doesn't look that much changed. She still looks good and as trim. How can rediff and photographer(paparazzi) Pradeep Bandekar expect human beings to not change even after a decade or so?And how can we say by just looking at one picture?Rediff is out of its mind and decency.

Pradeep Bandekar, please post your wife's 2 pictures and we will be happy to comment on her.

Kumar Bhargav...there is nothing wrong in what you say. Iam a south indian myself and I fully agree, Rajnikanth now has much lesser hair than he had 15 yrs back..also he has grayed out beard and physically is not as agile as he was 15 yrs back.Nothing wrong with that...its called Aging. He does not hide that fact in his real life...he appears in public functions and social engagements as himself...not as the movie star...as in why he wears a wig in his movies and acts with heroines less than half his age..well, the answer to that is its purely a movie formula..the audience of today wants to see young nubile/busty girls showing their cleavage..case in point-Nayantara,Asin...it is pure market driven facts...and the audience is completely sold out on Mr.Rajnikanth's persona and the image he portrays in his movies. This is just pure and simple sublimal marketing. In his real self Rajnikanth shows up,talks, thinks and behaves like a 58 yr old man and not like a 20 something super hero.It is credit to him that he has been able to separate Rajnikanth the Superstar from Rajnikanth the husband, father, grandfather and here goes-The balding 58 yr old man. Not a lot of current Indian movie stars are able to do that.

Give them their due

Isn't it in the discretion of the person him/herself when to act and when not to? Why can't we respect the space of others? Aren't actor human beings that they can't be tired or grown old?

Wel said Manu.
Rediff or no one has anything to do how a person was looking 10 years back and now.
I think this photographer "Pradeep Bandekar" is assuming that he will never become old.
I would like to put his wife's photograph now and 10 years back. Lets see what would be his reaction for that.
