Phoonk will be good
by cosmicmahe on Aug 04, 2008 09:53 PM

When learnt that Yendamoori Virendranath's horror novel "Thulasidhalam" is made as "Phoonk" by RGV, I really felt happy that the novel had landed in safe hands. Even if RGV falters, YV's story is so solid that will definitely send shivers in your spine...

About Ramu
by thirumal reddy on Mar 07, 2008 05:49 PM

He has given a movie which is trend setter and a path breaker too.He redifined the telugu industry with that film.He made the same impact on bollywood with new trends and with new styles. 80% of this country r used to see stupid films based on love and lust.I am appealing all Ramu fans get least bother about these people and wait for more movies from that finest craftman of our country.

AAG was a good movie
by rajeev goyal on Mar 04, 2008 10:31 AM

Why people critisize the movie without watching that..... AAG was not a bad movie & performance of BIG B was extra ordinary..... but if it is fail at box office... everything is bad.....

One example....OSM was really a very ad movie but it was hit at box office....every one is now prasing it.

RGV will back soon!
by Disturbing Stranger on Mar 03, 2008 07:19 PM  | Hide replies

Hey Guyz,
This is a fact that RGV is a terrific director. But sometimes success comes with ego following up. That was the case of RGV.

After Sarkar, he was out of form and made some forgettable movies. During this time some of his brilliant camp members also left him(media says the reason is being RGV's ego) which includes A.R Rahman,Sandip Chowta,Ranjit Barrot, Jaydip Shahni (Script writter of Chakde), Shimit Amin(Director of brilliant Chakde & Ab Tak Chhapan), Manoj Vajpayi and many more.

He is the one who gave the industry some brilliant artists(may not be star) like Manoj Vajpayi, Ashutosh Rana, Shimit Amin, Jaydip Shahni, Ranjit Barrot, Sushant Singh and many more.

But I feel he has understood about his mistakes and took a solitudary break. Now I hope he will reunite with his regular fellas and give us great movies(if not hits(craps) like Chopra's & Johar's).

I hope you folk will agree with this. Let's expect his stable state of mind and some brilliant flicks.

Sholay is the remake of Magnificent Seven, which is a remake of Chinese (or) Japanese Saven Samurai... But since Ramesh Sippy was not asked by those owner for copy right violation. In case of RGV, he was asked by Ramesh Sippy for the same, because he already sold Sholay copyright to whooping 100 crore to UTV. When you have limitations in any project (not only related to movies) and you are almost on the verge of completion, it's very hard to come up with a product which everyone likes.

If you've seen the movie "sarkar", it starts off on a note saying "This is a tribute to Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather". RGV is the only director in the world, I believe, who has the guts to say that he has made terrible movies like he said for RGV ki Aag. He even said that remaking Sholay was the biggest mistake in his career.
