I like to start my review with good points about a film but it is a little difficult for me to find out anything good about this film except for beautiful shots of Laddak. Now why the film didn’t work for me. In the second song “Raani mere khwaboin ki…” Shekhar sees Sanjana, he has never met her and she is not even his type of girl, why will he see her? This is the moment when as an audience I start to loose confidence in the film. Because the film is not about deja-vu and still there is this person who is seeing someone as his ideal mate whom he has not even met. From this point I know that the film is trying to sell me something which I don’t want to buy and as an audience I become defensive. The love story between Shekhar and Sanjana doesn’t work for me at all. This boy claims that he has fallen in love with her for the first time, but why? There is nothing so great about her, she is not outstandingly beautiful or caring or loving. In short I have not seen any aspect of her that makes her lovable for me so far and I am forced to believe that a guy is falling heads over heel in love with her, why? The scene where Rohit dies doesn’t work at all. It’s an important moment in the film. The audience was not expecting Rohit to be dead, especially when she talks with Rohit all the time on phone (by the way hardly anyone got it that her brother’s name is also Rohit and she talks to him). People think that she is in love with Rohit and they come to know that he is already
It is one of the worst movies. Here nothing is common with DDLJ, and who said something is common is habe no sense. Common does not mean only giving hand on train or song in rain... Complete different story, perhaps its wrong to say that this movie have some story. As per acting Nakul is the worst one, he has lot of attention on screen but he have no acting skill. Adhyayan has good looks and deserved better screen presence in the movie. He can show some better performance in future. And Amita, definitely doesn't look like an actress. As per acting she does well as compare to others but definitely her looks and face is not like a good actress. Overall film is disaster, from direction point of view it is pathetic. Overall score is 1/5.. Certainly do anything rather than watching this movie..
It is no co-incidence that one lousy movie after another getting churned out from Bollywood. Like Haale-Dil, I saw another lousy movie like Mere Baap Pehle Aap, and the thought that immediatly came to my mind was that it seems that aren't any competent film-makers in Bollywood. Probably this also indicates the utterly low intellectual level of the viewers of Hindi movies. A country of billion people but quality is almost non-existent. It is said that films often mirror the society. Films like Mere Baap Pehle Aap clearly indicate to what gutter level the intellectual competence of the average Indian has fallen to. If you have nothing better to do, go sleep or do anything else but don't see such third-rate movies.
adhayayan has great potential. he just needs a good launch.the movie seemed incomplete because his role was not developed properly. cheer up addy. you have a long way ahead but will surely emerge the winner. Nakul and amit were not bad either.

Like father like Son..around 20 years later, Adhyan will have a good career hosting television shows..not in films :)
I do not believe this "review". I tried desperately to find the review in the above article, but could not. I did find the story of the movie, but not the review.
