RE:Biggest flop
by Sunil Chaturvedi on Jun 18, 2008 02:07 PM
u r mistaking stardom from performance. Its just like aamir is known for his acting skills and shahrukh for his style rather than acting.Rajini is just a stylish star.
Whats the big deal in Kamal sporting ten diff costumes and coming in dif era of history?
Kamal is synonymous to acting and thats what everybody wants (even ppl who are not kamal fans) These 10 diff costumes and style in dialect and regional makeups is not what Kamal is worth of?
If everybody laauds him, kamal will be pushed to do Alibaba and FORTY thieves followed by that big hit, he will do a movie called KAURAVAS
Forty Thieves - All played by Kamal 100 Kauravas - All played by Kamal Padmashree when you donated your organs, you must have retained your acting skill

Nobody loves him and nobody wants him to act even in a single role!If you had seen his movies you will realise he had depended more on 'Make up' than on talent unlike Rajini!

You have right to give your honest opinion about this film. Anybody who spent their money can do. But,
Nobody likes him? It proves you dont like him.
Nobody wants him to act? It proves you dont like to watch his movies.
Yes. He depended on make ups in films like, Inian, Avvai Shanmugi, Anbe sivam(Half the Movie) and Dhasaavatharam now. What else can you show?
He doesn't need a make up in any other film and still looks great.
The biggest joke you said was that He doesnt have talent like Rajani, who doesnt depend on Make ups.
People, please laugh out loudly.
Can Rajani act in any of the movie with out make up and Wig?
Yes. Only as grand father to Shreya and as great grand father to Nayanthara. Not as Hero.
In Indian, Director Shankar showed a Young Hero as Old man, Indian. The same director showed a Old man as Young Hero in Shivaji, with the use of make up only.

KalyanaRaman,Alavandhan,Chappani,Indrudu Chandrudu,SaharaSangamam,AppuRaja and the list is endless! Rajini wears make up to make him look young but not to supliment his acting unlike this man who has no talent! Just indicate one good performance with out the effece of make up!

a new movie is planned with kamal doing all roles from hero, heroine, villain, background dancers and crowd. it is going to create all sorts of records. it is going to be an ultimate test for the makeup man.
The first 15 mts of the movie, the depiction of 12 th century was really great. The settings and picturisation, actor, script, diction, etc.. were really good and fantastic. This set an expectation which was a disappointment in the rest of the movie. When the movie comes to 21st century, the movie drags into Kamal’s comic thriller. This movie is neither a thriller nor a comedy stuff. With this story line of the micro-chip/vile is stolen from a lab to save it from the hands of wrong hands, the treatment should have been a full length thriller without a comedy element built-in; this should have been a fantastic movie. The production value in the first 15 mts and last 15 mts has a high indication of technical excellence to meet or excel any good Hollywood movie of this stature. Unnecessarily Kamal has taken the comedy track which liuterally removed the element of thrill in it.
The dasavathar is not the 10 characters of the movie which was interwoven in the story, but the ten avatars of one actor, as if he has done 10 roles by himself instead of 9 other actors, as there was no correlation between any of them in the story line. He has just depicted 10 characters from an actor point of view – not any relationship of 10 characters. Even this type of depicting multiple role by an actor without any connection has been done by eddie Murphy in “Coming to America” where Eddie Murphy as an African prince comes to America as an ordinary man to find a bride for him instead

Even this type of depicting multiple role by an actor without any connection has been done by eddie Murphy in “Coming to America” where Eddie Murphy as an African prince comes to America as an ordinary man to find a bride for him instead of marrying a dumb princess. In this movie Eddie does some other roles like a barber, etc. which is similar to Dasavatharam.
Showing exceptional skills in make-up, he had already done it movies like Indian, Avai Shanmugi which were great movies as it jelled with the charactors of the movie. The same concept need not have been repeated in this movie. Though there were some positive points related to the production value, etc. the treatment to the script was very poor. Kamal should have taken care of it. On the whole it was a disappointment.
RGV has writely said in his blog that the audience consists of people with different mindsets, background, intelligence and natural pre-disposition towards the way they percieve things. The end result at the End of the movie is an unfathomable result of how much an individual liked or disliked a movie. So u see we can never easily reach conclusions about movies through discussions.

The movie is a flop in AP. Kamal Hasan is a great actor but he should have done better than this. Leave the gimmicks to Rajni and others.

DEVDAS ALREADY REPORTERS ASK RAJINI, WHO IS THE BEST ACTOR ,YOU OR KAMAL????RAJNI HIMSELF ALREADY REPLIED KAMAL IS THE BEST ACTOR.....

Rajini is a modest person and with a high sense of humour! Kamal creates big hypes with his 'make up' and hide his lack of talent. Idiots like you get carried away! You better learn from some knowledgeable person what is acting!

Rajini an actor???? Thats the biggest joke of the century. Actingna kilo evalonu keppan avan!! Agreed he is a great person offscreen and has very good hit rate and is popular. I like Rajini myself, but please for all practical puposes dont call Kamal talent less. You mite never accept it but THE FACT IS KAMAL IS ONE OF THE BEST ACTORS OF INDIA. Thousand times BETTER THAN RAJINI IN ACTING!!!.

dont call rajini an actor...he is just an entertainer....kamal had got more guts than him for xperimenting...
i went to watch this film with a lot of expectations but it was a huge disappointment to say the least. script had nothing new to offer and the make-up for majority of the avatars was horrible. only the final 15 minutes were good. Kamal did a good job with one or two avatars and the rest of them must have been a cakewalk for him. Asin was loud and a menace throughout the film. Watch this long long film just for the final 15 minutes.
