Dasavatharam is running full shows in MULTIPLE theatres in every city, even in MORNING SHOWS. Remember this is not the first day, so these collections cant be classified as openings. The opening has already rocked the box office worldwide and now the movie is heading towards a major victory - another point to be noted is that Dasavatharam is a movie dubbed from Tamil to Telugu. Even straight telugu movies dont run so well in Andhra.
Kamal Haasan has proved that he is the Numero Uno in the Superstar.
I am sorry guys... I do not like south movies and actors. I do not know why... but they are not good looking, even I have watched few Tamil movies.. apart from the lead actors others are looking like very poor, illitrated person. I am sorry, this is my personal opinion, please do not take it to heart.

check the guys in other countries... All looks clean... south people are very dirty. Also they speak in a funny accent. No language is bad, but they make the ascent funny.(example - adding 'a' at the end of every word)

Dear Subhransu, South has Kamal, Mohanlal the two great Indian Actors. Good looking Ajith, Madhavan, Surya, Vikram, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Nagarjun etc,....
Only Tamil & Malayalam films has very great stories. Kollywood has very young Great Directors like Selvaragavan, Bala, Amir, Goutham. Great technicians in Bollywood are from Tamil. India's great Music Director Rahman is Tamilian, India's highest paid actor is Super Star Rajnikanth. Youthful director Maniratnam, I need many pages to write,.. Kindly have this in mind!,.......

only tamil and malayalam have good stories? hahahaha as seen in midnight masala in sun tv lol....only malayalam movies that too of the 80s and early 90s were excellent movies otherwise tamil movies and even now many mallu movies are full of masala crap.

In india only few are literate and many or illetrate. thats wat is shown in tamil films . south indian do not like or know to show off . they are wat they are unlike others who pose big having nothing in their brains .

Dont talk crap here. I have posted the collections for 5th day. Check that and respond. Dasavatharam is heading towards a glorious victory in not only Andhra but in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka too. I accept it is not an excellent movie. Its just a time pass entertainer made in an entirely different style. But surprisingly, the masses seem to like the movie. Kids especially are patronizing some of Kamal's roles like Fletcher and Shingen Narahashi. The climax fight between Fletcher(American) and Shingen(Japanese) has become a crowd favourite.
We dont need to wish the movie a grand success, because it has already collected 51 crores worldwide in 5 days(Total budget: 59 crores).

It is the biggest flop of the decade.Tickets are easily available in Bangalore. Who gave this figures of Rs 51 crores.Please justify.It will not even gross 50 crores.
Huge Hit Dasavatharam has won all the box office races - in all southern states of India, Dasavatharam is the number 1 in collections. Also in US and UK box office, the collections are very high. Oscar Ravichandran is making huge profits using the name 'Kamal Haasan'
y two movies of the same name? dashavatar is name of the movie of kamal and also of an animated film. can any one say y two movies released with the same name at the same time...

Now Kamal is confessing that he did nothing new in Dasavatharam. As he falters to meet 'Tsunami high' expectations of the movie, it is expected. In the movie, he tries to show that he is master of all arts. At the end, it looks like we have seen a colorful loosely woven mega serial. His acting in many roles were just average. Though his final product may not become flop but will struggle to get expected profit. Dear Kamal, you cant make a World Class movie by integrating bits and pieces from World Class movies. May be you might have obsessed so much with your ULAGA NAYAGAN image, but your product does not confirm that.

Coming to the domestic market or rather the regional market, Kamal Hassan’s Dasavataram raked in Rs 3 crore in Chennai, and Rs 21 crore for the whole of Tamil Nadu. In the non-Southern markets, which got about 80% occupancy, the film grossed about Rs 60 lakh in the first three days of its running.
The film is anticipated to rake in close to Rs 100 crore as its theatrical revenue at the end of this week, as Chennai theatre owners state that the bookings for the next 10 days are house-full. If compared to Rajnikant’s Sivaji the film grossed over 25 crore in its first one week. Given the current figures, Kamal Hassan is currently one up.
Just saw this film. Just doesnt live to all the usual hype. 10 Avatars are too many and only 3 or 4 have real value. Rest avatars are crap and not needed. Storyline is flimsy. Seems all he wanted to do was act in 10different roles inthe film. Masks/makeup for most time is too artificial and not realistic at all. Only Asin is good in her role. Conclusion:Watch once only to satisfy your curiosity and see what the hype is all about.

I doubt if you have even understood the story. Do you know about 'Butterfly Effect'? Did you know about the thread connecting all the characters? Do you know how the 12th century and 21st century are related? For those who cant understand the movie, it will be about the 10 characters. Actually, its an amazing script.

it was well understood and his atheist mindset has thrown open his idiot mind to the whole world...
he keeps carrying the bioweapon or biochemical under his trousers and ex-CIA agent runs in TN (by knowing the streets,nook and corner) and keeps running for the whole movie without any interesting tale attached...
Whats wrong on love stories... if the movie is made interesting immaterial of the storyline thats what movie watches should see yousee(read it as useless movie)
