Thalaiva! Wish u hearty congrats for the mega success of Dasavatharam. Dasa is a hit in TN, Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala and wherever it is released. It is in the 11th position in UK top ten, has beaten Sarkar Raj, The Happening and many other movies.
This has nothing to do with the film. But I feel, it's an eyesore to watch the likes of Kamal, Rajini, Vijaykanth, Sarath Kumar, Satyaraj, etc., still doing hero's role, unsuccesfully covering their necks, avoiding closeups even during song sequences and acting opposite heroines half their age. The heroines look more like their daughters and not their partners. The situation is no better in other languages either. I'd prefer they doing roles to suit their age and impressing the viewers even in those roles. Like, Raj Kiran winning over Cheran by miles with his performance in a dad's role or, like our own Charu sir donning the role of a postman in `Thabarane Kathe' (`hope, I spelt the name right!)
I'm sure, many Kamal fans here may not share my views. But like others, he too can not hide his 50 age despite hi-fi makeup and the closeup scenes are sure going to be an eyesore with all those wrinkles on his face and neck. He sure is an excellent actor and no doubt, he can do justice even if he dons a role of an elder brother or a dad (to Asin or Mallika Sherawat).

YOU JEALOUS UPON FACTS. This movie is screening in 145 screens in Chennai - Sivaji had 85. Sivaji released in USA in 22 theatres - Dasavatharam released in 44 theatres in USA. More over, an Excellent visual extra vaganza than SIVAJI.
And many more record breaking news are coming out. THAT'S WHY YO PEOPLE ARE JEALOUS

Idiot. Sivaji was released in 46 theaters in USA. Correct your facts.. The reason for 1000 copies is an ingenous idea by Aascar Ravichandran..who is the producer to get his money back. otherwise he knows this wornt run for more tahn three months.

Why comparing Sivaji with Dasavatharam. Instead you can compare one of Kamal's earlier movie AALAVANDHAN (ABHAY IN HINDI) and feel relieved that atleast Dasa is better than A.Vandhan.
Even the movies of new comers like vijay, vishal, surya etc. have more collections than best of his films. His latest movie is all set to become a commercial disaster.

Hey get your facts right. Kamal is the greatest living actor of the century. Vijay and Surya??? They are 0.1% of Kamal in effort. Vijay can only talk dialouges and Surya acts cynical in every film. Ajit belly dances and Madhavan wooes girls badly.

Is it so! I thought Surya and Vikram have done better than him in their short span in whatever roles they play!!!
I have seen most of his films. When u watch his movies, it is not that u r watching that movie. It is the real life experience one feels when he faces the camera. Even saying that He is Great is a lesser compliment for him. As for his private life and his character / mannerism (that he is rude) doesnt bother any one when u watch his films.

"Sir & Madam" shows the slave mentality of Tamilians.Most of them use the word "madam" more than 100 times for completing a sentence.50 more yrs oldies used to call 18yrs old girl in the film industry like this.bcaz Ji or shri not accepted by karuna & co.
I am tamilian living in chennai i used to advise every body to maintain a standard the person u talk.But still our brothers and sisters sacred while seeing a well dressed man or women. Dear my brothers dont give unwanted respect to film Jockers.
What does he mean when he says Kamal "Sir"? Sir used as a suffix is only when you are knighted or confired a knighthood by the Queen of England..!!!
Indian eqvivalent is a simply a "Shri" Kamaljee or Shri Kamal, or why not just say Kamal??? surely Kamal woudnt mind. why have the British terminology and colonial suffixes for a Indian actor ?

Hey lunkhead. Get your history right. Britain and England copied our Shri and made it Sir. Check out Wikipedia for more info. Besides Kamal has a Padma Shri which is our equivalent for SIR.
