This is a disgrace! Such highly reputed people should not even spit on a fly like Raja Sen.
I have been reading Raja Sen's review's for some time now & had choosen be quite about it. After the review that was posted on Sarkar Raja last friday, i choose to see the movie & for good.
It is just that Raja sen has not been able to connect with the audience & understand the pulse of the audience.
I hope Raja sen understand soon that RGV does not make films for Raja Sen.

Thats true. Raja Sen is highly biased while reviewing RGV's films. He has inclination to praise Khans movies. That is why I started watching movies for which Raja gives one star or two stars. I avoid watching movies if it is given more than two stars by Raja.
Raja sen is actually Rani sen..trying his best to look like Raja but her artificial breast implants show...and only a gay-minded man can fantasize about Aishwarya as man..how far will you go Raja..uhh Rani...
I understand there are many people who don't agree with raja or whatever he writes....but may I kindly request u all to first read the motive and content of teh article before u starat hurling abuses at someone... may be raja has personal wrath against a breed of directors... but at least this article is more about how our bollywood directors are shameless in saying they have churned out a good product while actuaally it is at times a staright rip-off from some good (may be bad at times) english movie. And about the heading of the article...i bet that is sensationalisation ..i mean u keep such a heading and ppl are bound to open it.. but as raja claims... ramu himself has been proclaiming her asexuality in recent interviews..( i think ramu meant ash is no less efficient or caapable than a man)....
and as for sarkar raj ..the movie is boring..too slow...very less content.... i mean just having half dark scenes..and a bland abhiskeh bahchan with a close-up in a now-so-overdone beard thinking on and on.. may be good acting to someone..but seemsed overacting to me..and Big B..aren't we tried of his humming in every movie now...??? i didnt find him exceptional as well... i am no bahchan hater..but i think mindless adulation of a movie just bcoz abhcchans are there will send our movies more retro... i think all critics except taran adarsh actually battered teh movie...IBN NDTV ..all....

Do you think Raja sen is that importent to have a wrath with a director like RGV.Raja sen is a publicity hungry swine, who is trying to grab limelight by writing controversial reviews. Just ignore this filthy chap.. i would rather belive a ticket blackier's review than Raja's.

hi sowmya, many people say sarkar raj is the best movie in recent years. It obviously had a original(no rip-off) and breathtaking climax which is the main reason for it's success. RGV certainly took no chances this time, and made a movie that will appeal to a large section of movie goers. The fact that someone like you with poor movie taste, went to that movie itself, is a vindication of it's popularity. It's ok if you didn't like the movie. I liked only one or two movies of sharukh khan.

exactly!!! many ppl may say its teh best movie in recent times... but MANY say its not...those many also include 90% of critics..( i mean they are no gods to giev decisions...but i am giving u a percentage...howmuch ever skewed it may be)...just bcoz sarkar raj is not a rip off ...and original doesnt mean its good.... sarkar was a rip off...but was well made...but again not as praise-worthy as it is.... thats my point... and u liked shahrukh's 1 or 2 movies..but there are many who likes even teh crappiest moiies of shsrukh(and am NOT one them)..and there are similarly many who like wateva amitabh does... thats not justified..

critics have been bitching about rgv movies for a long time. I read most of the reviews in various sources, and yes many of them are vulgarly biased against sarkar raj and seem to have some vested interests in defaming bachchan family and rgv. I have never come across such nonsense. There should be some decency in criticism. It's sad to note that economic times says sarkar raj opened to average opening, while many people living in cities could not get hold of a ticket for the weekend. The movie recovered it's cost of making by now and let's see how it will be received in coming days.

well there are quite a few...rang de, munnabhai..chank de..taare zameen pe.. bhul bhulaiya... i replied as u asked... but not sure how my liking is related to my comments and reply :-)
Raja Sen is the silliest reviewer I have ever come across. He doesn't have knowledge of films at all. I wonder why rediff is paying him for all such crap.
Sarkar Raj is a pretty good movie....what ultimately matters is whether majority of the cinegoers like it or not & it seems they like it....which is reflected in BO Collections. That should be respected.Whether it is OSO, Sivaji,Don & people who do not respect the viewer's choice or intelligence are needlessly stupid.Films are 4 entertainment not social work.
Have a brief analysis of how Raja has rated and how movies have fared- tried making it in excel- but may have been distorted-- He is more times wrong than right..........
Name Review Stars   ; Status Eklavya Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film calls for applause -- and deserves it. 4 Flop Nishabd &nbs p;Ram Gopal Varma has done it again. Great Analysis. If the information you gave is true then this guy really deserves the pink slip from rediff.
A good review need not necessarily require the usage of bombastic words. Raja Sen tries to project himself as very erudite by his choice of words. Unfortunately, a more discerning reader will easily see through this facade and realize the hollowness of the views expressed in his articles. His criticism is usually backed by prejudice and contempt towards the makers of the movie. He never really attempts to provide a balanced viewpoint that helps the viewers to make an educated opinion about the film he reviews. His review of Om Shanthi Om clearly exposed this bias. Off late he is making no attempt to hide his affiliation to one specific group of film makers in Bombay.
And this article was a cheap potshot to hit back at RGV who stripped his review naked on his blog. RGV hit him hard and all that Raja Sen can do now is to cry like the crybaby he has always been.
