It is said that one has only to open his mouth and you know what the person is like. Shame on you people who keep pounding Ishmeet even after he has died. You are no better then the rude judges in the reality show who were so pompous and thought that only they know music and singing. Shame on all of you! YOu dont even have respect for a dead man? You call yourself Indian? Tsk!Tsk! Paresh Kumar are you a true Hindu? Read the Bhagawat Gita for the salvation of your soul......Please.....

i feel shame and sad for the people who have written sch azz commnts... u people belong to that category who always have some or other problem.... cant a person whom so many people love and for whose victory people voted in gr8 numbers can get a state funeral on such a tragic death..... Even politicians dont deserve such state funerals when thier whole life is corrupt. And those who compare this death with bomb explosions shold have some sense. No death is gr8 or comparable. Death is a Death.Everybody feels sad for those died in explosions. Pease stop commenting such crap on somebody departure.
May Ishmeets Departed soul rest in peace and May God give some sense to the fools commenting above.

all due respect to ishmeet, i wish he'd been alive.

yeah, i totally agree - sad that they are making political statement out of it. state funerals should be reserved for armed forces, visionary leaders etc.

i see any wastage of public money as a crime.

What could have happened!!??
by JASLEEN BAJAJ on Jul 31, 2008 05:13 PM  | Hide replies

I got a SMS at about 2035 hrs on 29th stating Ishmeet’s Death. I immediately rushed to watch the News where Star News confirmed to what I read. I was in a state of deep shock, couldn’t jus believe my own eyes n ears. I have already posted an article earlier here stating about the untimely demise of Ishmeet Singh Sodhi..

I am not here to blame anybody but jus trying to think out of box ie; think of various possibilities that could hav happend. As most of us know, Ishmeet was a very nice, humble n kind-hearted human being, I don’t think anyone wud hav any rivalry with him.. When I am tryin to analyze d whole situation 4m my point of view n whatever little we r getting to know 4m various means of reliable communication, I feel when a person is in swimming pool its most likely that he knows swimming. But when we hear 4m his parents that he dint know, I wonder what was Ishmeet doing in the pool!? Was he forced there? Was he with someone? Where were the life guards? What were the Hotel guys doing? I guess Event Management companies should be more careful when they are on such a tour as they might later get someone to replace and move on ahead, but the family cant replace this loss.. we might forget this sooner or later but the family will have to live with this forever. When I am not able to overcome this so easily, a chill runs down my spine when I think of his family.

May God give courage n strength to his family to face this brutal truth. May Ishmeet’s

Arun, Ishmeet was ONE in a MILLION. You and I, we are just ONE of the MILLION. He was not just a person, he was a PERSONALITY. Ishmeet was not just another life- he was INSPIRATION. That's why.

There are billions of creatures- humans and animals living around us. But only a few leave a lasting impact like Ishmeet did. Only a few individuals have the power or capacity of Ishmeet's candidature, to leave millions with tears in their eyes. Can you people even beleive he was only 19. Only 19. Yet his persona matched the serenity and wisdom of a very experienced and matured human being. He was so grounded even after success. Do you know anyone like that? And why do you people worship the likes of Amitab bachan? What has he done that's so revolutionary, that we put him on a pedestal? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Yet he touches souls. That's what I am talking about. Some people are extraordinary, extra-gifted, and special- they leave an unquantifiable sense of loss.

i think that's only natural that u feel more disappointed when the deceased person is someone u know. that doesn't mean ppl don't feel sad for the victims of the bomb blast...

similarly, if the deceased is someone from your own family, naturally u'll feel more aggrieved over his/her death than some stranger's death in some other part of the world. Whats wrong with that ?

Murder Case: Yes, it's a SECRET murder. Ishmeet cannot foolishly go and swim. It was a planned effort by his two friends. One provoked him to swim while he denied, the other person took him to the waters telling him that they will teach him swimming. Believing them, he went inside the waters. Although the depth of the pool is not so deep to kill anyone or drown anyone, yet the first person put handkerchief on his nose which made Ishmeet Unconscious immediately. Then he fell into the waters. The Second person pushed him underneath water while Ishmeet's head got injured with the base of the pool. Thus caused a minor injury on this forehead. The two friends kept Ishmeet under waters for about 5 minutes only, when he finally lost his breath and dead. Without anyone knowing about this incident, the two persons left the place in a hurry. The news spread after some hotel guy saw the dead body floating after 30 minutes of the incident. The same hotel guy is paid an hefty amount to keep this news as secret.
Sorry for the soul, but this event might have occurred. Please treat this as story and think that it might have occured like whatever mentioned above.

Don't worry. God is watching. In America, we are collecting funds to execute an intensive private investigation to reveal those involved. We are confident that those who constantly sought to attack and harm Ishmeet, will be brought to their punishment. This case will not just be settled in biased and racist courts of India. This case will see justice; there will be consequences for everyone involved. It is further quite obvious that someone influential from the music industry was involved. We have not forgotten all the instances when Ishmeet was insulted on National Tv by the Judges. Ishmeet might have been tolerant and carefree. Ishmeet might have sincerely loved all his co-singers and c-workers; but we saw that love was not mutual. We have clips of all the hateful and racists comments ever aired on national Tv. This is a case for an International HUman Rights Organization. We will get to the root of this. Please join the effort. Stay tuned for further news on this.

Dear Guest, i was quiet happy to know when you defended jasleen, but i am at wit's end thinking whether the murder theory you have mentioned is a real report or a figment of yoru imagination. Its very fair to take this unbelievable demise of Ish, with a pinch of salt, but its equally unfair to release this kind of theory straight away raising question at the participants. becasue i have also an email report saying the three co-participants vaded in water to try save him as he lost footing in water but could not and they also got suffocated in water and were hospitalised while Ish was brought dead at hospital. It could actually be just an accident as it seems, why look for sinister intentions always? We all have seen Abhaas, he is gem of a person, and though Harshit is very much driven by his VOI failure and wanted to one up in other reality shows, he can't murder someone to reach where they were all sitting pretty anywyas, at the pinnacle, and Sumitra was anywyas not an direct competition to Ishmeet. My humble request to all that do not weave imaginations into real sounding story that may unnecessary ruin the image of innocent young friends of his. I am stand corrected, but i can just hope and pray that IT WASN'T A RIVALRY MURDER. IT WOULD BE A BRUTE JOLTING SHOCK TO ALL OF US.

If they are really collecting funds to do a private investigation on this. Please do so. Please lets find out what actually happened. Because we have so many contradicting stories. Even the witnesses who were 2 other participants with him told conflicting stories it seems. So please if anyone can organise this investigation please do.

My God! I have also had a feeling that he was killed....because he was always so calm and collected not the type who would get excited and loose his mind over a swimming pool and its surroundings......My God! If this happened then it is most cruel!!

VP,
Thanks for your comments and please watch your words. You have given the answer in your question itself. when you stated "4m" will not mean from" I am sure others would surely understand!! I had loads to write bot Ishmeet and if you would be familiar with rediff's rules you would know that we cant exceed more than 1500 characters including space.. well if you would have raised your point on my last sentence that would have made a point as its incomplete due to space constrain. Thanks for providing me the space n letting me complete it.... "May Ishmeet’s Soul rest in Peace.... "

well I believe we all are here for Ishmeet and I am not planning to take any of my English lessons from you atleast. your last part made no sense to me. you dont know me and just can't pass such a comment.

Jasleen, my heart feels for you. Please don't pay attention to 'Haters' here- they don't just spoil human spirit but also attempt to demean progressive thought. Yes when our thoughts are emotionally packed, we don't arrange and edit our verbiage to cater to GOREY-wana-Bes. Idea is to communicate and sympathize- some people miss the point. Forgive the ignorant.

People, put an end to these soul-rupturing comments. I believe a death of someone so inspirational (for Indian youth) should not be commercialized in such a way, especially by not seemingly intelligent citizens as you all. I've never seen a worse display of humiliating verbiage. Yes, we must arrange free-form platforms for open communication and get people collaborating, but for a progressive and constructive cause. Some comments are simply destructive and spirit-demeaning. STOP. THINK.

Atul, what qualifies you to school anyone in English, huh? Who cares even an Indian can speak this overrated foreign language? Languages were created to better communicate and understand other human beings, so we can all co-exist; and not insult others to sheild our own insecurities. You like english? Well, come check into my classroom. But don't you DARE hurt people who are ALREADY HURTING. Be ashamed. Where's your passion? Where's your kindness?
