"Sequences, set pieces and plot devices are liberally sourced from such Hollywood fare as Enemy Of The State, The Siege, The Matrix, Swordfish and the Hong Kong actioner Infernal Affairs."---where n how?

Superb Action, Superb Entertainer
by Guest on Aug 02, 2008 08:20 PM

It seems most of the reviewers have just seen the review of this film and have written their comments.

Mission Istaanbul - superb action.
This is a movie where the makers have been fearless enough to show terrorism in its true colurs - a business run for money and power.
Ideology is just an excuse to hide something very ugly.

The scenes of stoning a woman as a sport in Afghanistan are chilling. We have heard about it, but nothing like this has been attempted on Indian screens before.

The makers of the film should be lauded for making a superb entertainer and actioner.

Both Vivek Oberoi and Zayed are great in their roles. It does seem that you are watching a hollywood actioner.

Watch the film and decide for yourself.

I had a lot o ecxpectations from the film after SHOOTOUT IN LOKHANDWALA. The makers have delivered.

what wri=ong with Apoorva Lakhia
by born free on Aug 01, 2008 02:19 PM

Dear Apoorva Lakhia, stop watching Hollywood movies, lest you will copy the scene and present it to us in desi style.

As for "Shootout At Lokhandwala", if it had not been for the real life story, it would have been a copy of the hollywood movie "The Untouchable" starring Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, Andy Garcia, Robert De Niro. Many of the scenes were copied from Untouchables.

And one more thing, try to come up with something "ORIGINAL". And lets see if it works.

Apoorva Lakhia, we understand that you are a third class director and on top of it you copy from hollywood and present it to us in desi style.

Could not agree more with the reviewer

There comes a time in your life when you want to toss your TV set out the window and never watch TV again. That time happened an hour after I watched this movie. If you've ever gone to school or ever been around educated people that like things that make a teeny weeny sense, do not watch this movie. The director must be a sick person to even create a piece of torture like this. Overall, the worst movie I have had to endure in years. YUCK.

100% Right.

Went to this movie the other day. Came back within the first half an hour itself. Rediff is 100% right. Forget about this movie. I wondered sitting in the theater how people take such movies.

Common guys watch the movie its fun, nice action, great music, scenic locales. Though exact copy of many Hollywood action sequences but still a good effort. I really enjoyed the movie.

Rajnis Kuslen got hype in US

Hello guys in US

The 25 feet cut-out across New Jersey created a hype for this movie.

I never seen this for a Telegu or any other Hindi movie in NJ.
