RAO, REDDY, GOWDA TAKE UP TAMIL STAR SARATH KUMAR Once a newspaper supplying boy from Bangalore in Ulsoor locality (sometime around 1977) supreme star of Tamil cinema today has agreed to act in a Tamil film in the direction of 23 films old Kannada film director N.Omprakash Rao and Kannada producers Shankare Gowda and Shanker Reddy. How the Cauvery water dispute and Hogennakkal issue look at this venture is a million dollar question. The fear the media has on this Rs.10 crore budget Tamil film by Kannada director and producers is obvious. But the saving grace will be the Kannada speaking Tamil actor Sarathkumar. He is today the President of Tamil Cinema Artists Association and things can work out smoothly we hope. The assignment to act in a terrorism subject in the direction of Kannada film director for Sarathkumar materialized on last 14th July that happened to be his birthday. It may be recalled that Sarathkumar’s wife Radhika of Radaan Entertainment has also acted in Kannada films in the past. Now the subject narration for Sarathkumar has been completed at his Chennai office. The Tamil film on national importance subject will be shot in Afghanistan, Macaw island in Hongkong, Chennai city, Bangalore and Madhurai. Sarathkumar has not put any condition and he has been very kind in his outlook remembered director Rao speaking to media persons on his first Tamil film direction on Wednesday evening.
