may his soul rest in peace. who will forget his veerabahu character in Sathya harishchandra, bhoothaih in 'bhoothaiyyana maga ayya" etc. i dont think any other in indian cineman would have ventured in making movies on wild life preservation. they say that he sold his house in mysore after one of his fild didn't do well. at the time, when real estate mafia are entering filmland just to have fun, ppl like MP.Shankar didn't have place. indeed KFI has lost a great actor and a wonderful human being.

During the funreral procession or even for expressing the condolence, not even a minister or representitive from the govt has taken part.
It is really a shameful part from the govt to the great actor M.P shankar.Instead, most of the ministers were busy doing pooja in thirupathi on that day. This shows that how our rulers show disrespect to the great actors.

Gandhada Gudi is also witnessed the tragic incident.A forest officer who visited the shooting site left his real gun in his dining table there and by mistake reached the hands of Visnuvardhan there for fraction of second.Immidetly the officer said stop it is real gun.Thats all happened there.

But some stupid people(vested interests as vishnu says) created the story that Vishnu delebaratly tried to kill Dr Raj and mod attacked him. Some people even spread roumours that Vishnu"s wife Bharathi had crush for Rajkumar so she changed and kept real revolver for vishnu.
Unfortunetly later vishnu"s funeral pocession too was attacked by stones of some vested interests.
Dr Raj and MP Shankar who knew the reality never blamed Vishnu and continued together.
But they never acted together in Movies
Hardly any new generation person knows these episodes

One of the memorable & first indian movie to retaliate against land lords by the deprived farmers. Its legendary director Puttan Kanagal's master piece, Shankar as a bhoothayya was an excellent. Common directors we want such a classic movies u people seems to be lost the striking chord... Reborn puttanna kanagal, shankar nag.. Revamp Rajendra singh babu, sunil kumar desai & Nagathihalli chandrashekar.. You can make difference..

yes. I dont know why these directors are not making movies based on old novels. Puttanna kanagal, Siddalingiah were all very good readers themselves and had very good imagination of the movie even before they started. they wou;d prepare for a movie lile an exam. see now..a movie is made in 2-3 months. that's the difference.
