Kamal is a mediocre director who hides behind pseudo-intellectual mask
by Kakes on Jul 20, 2008 12:17 PM  | Hide replies

All, almost all kamal's movies are clear "painkili" stuff posing as great works of art, wheater it's much praised perumazhakkalam or for that matter, kanakkinavu, or megha malhar... he was never in the league of creative geniuses from the industry.. so never expected an outstanding creative product... he cannot even compete with the likes of Roshan Andrews, or Lal Jose.. Another fake in "great director" mask is Blessy... who is getting well exposed off late.. I am told that he happened to throw a three year old kid to a waterfall with a rope tied on her waist to get a realistic feel for a drowning scene... and on the other hand that fake was giving a lecture in television on the lack of humanity in the society... phew!!

To see what a fake this Blessy guy is you should watch the classic Iranian film Bashu that came out in the 90's. Kazhcha is a scene-by-scene adaptation of the film. And nowhere till now have I heard Blessey admit to being inspired!

Disasterous movie
by rajesh on Jul 19, 2008 10:24 AM

As expected minnaminnikkottam is a disasterous Kamal movie which fill find a position among Kamals previous chocolate stupid movies like Goal, swapnakkoodu, etc...Its ridiculous to see that there is wrong judgment for director Kamal about youngsters. He always portrayes youngsters as chocolate people, clearly understood from his previous movies as wht i mentioned. I think the idea about this minnaminnikkottam is originated from great movie classmates. After this stunning success of classmates Kamal try to get a movie like tht.But Mr Kamal your view point about youngsters and IT people is not up to the mark. What you think about people working in IT industry??Well dressed,Tag wearing,Smiling,Dancing Chocolate people??That is not Mr Kamal. If you would have try to learn and portray the problems faced by the IT people in this movie situation would be different?Mr Kamal you have the class as wht we seen in your greatest movie "Karutha pakshikal".So MR Kamal we are not expecting chocolate movies like this from you..You can better things

First of all Palicha, get your numbers right.

There are 8 friends and not seven - Meera, Narein, jaysurya, roma, samvrutha, indrajith, radhika and anoop. Whom did you miss out on?

This was a real stupid film, and I dont see what entertaining events you found in the first half.

Bad film, worse review.

Golden age of Malayalam film industry over!
by Tom Lutherfield on Jul 14, 2008 05:15 PM  | Hide replies

Sadly nowerdays Mal moves does suck. The golden age of great movies which used to get copied into every other Indian language is gone. Nowerdays Mal movies are pathetic, directors are even more pathetic, actors trail the dust of the paths left by the veterans greats. I never watch any Mal movies nowerdays nor do i even know about them. But the old ones ( from 1980 - 1998 ) I still watch. Those were the true greats. When both Mammooty & Mohanlal were at their respective bests.

I am waiting for a positive review from Paresh Palicha. Looks like he is a follower of Raja Sen who writes reviews for Hindi movies.

I saw the movie. I agree with Paresh Palicha. Not a good movie, its average only. Dont go and watch this if u think its related to IT field. No..not at all.
