If kannada film Industry is nearing it's end, then the big loser is Tamil Film Industry.
As you know that Once Rajani was acting in Kannada Films and entered in to Tamil Film industry. The same goes on to Arjun sarja, Prakasha Rai (Raj), Murali, etc..and recently yhe n ew villian actor kanti Kishore of polladavan. So hope you dont wish it...

Kannada Industry is not nearing its end, its healthier than any other langauage movies, OK, the market may be small, but we are proud that we live and survive with competition from all langauges, unlike Telugu or Tamils, where they dont allow other language movies in theoir states as they fear competition, they force people to watch their movies in their states, which is not a fact in Karnataka here we have given a platform to all other languages and still make successful films compete with them and still win. These words of kannada industry nearing the end by the so called Tamilians shows how desperate they are and afriad of Kannada industry which is uncalledd for. Tamilians as humans are very jealous of others, they have this inferiority complex and hence have problems with anybody who is prospering. They just cant resist and hence start such propaganda and get some mental satisfaction, So no need to care about what these guys blabber

So, whats ur problem? if Tamil Industry is known world wide it dosent make any difference to anybody on earth other U Tamilains, so just shut up everything and get lost to a Tamil forum, dont poke ur nose into other language platforms and spread hatred... U Tamilans are born with such a complex

i agree with u ravi 100%....the most arrogant people r ppl from karnataka...i stayed in chennai for 5 yrs and inspite of not knowing Tamil ppl used to respect me and speak very gently wherever i used to go...the most arrogant ppl in karnataka r the can and taxi drivers...they should be sent to mumbai or kolkata to learn manners and how to behave the passengers

Where did U stay in Chennai without knowing the langauge?? Which part of Mumbai did U find Auto/Taxi drivers behaving with good manners that U want to send Karnataka auto drivers for learning? What about auto drivers in Chennai who demand a ransom once U R inside the auto? Arman, just shut up and dont say lies, we have seen Chennai, Mumbai, and Calcutta also so U need not speak about arrogance in Karnataka, if Karnataka people were arrogant (and I hope they will soon become) outsiders wouldnt be feeling at home here, just ask anybody who is settled in Bangalore, why they dont move back to their home town, instead get all their family and relatives to settle down in karnataka? why Tamilians who leave their Sundara Chennai and settle down in Bangalore and never go back? its nothing but treachery to call people of KArnataka arrogant after U guys are oppressing them in their own native...there is no difference between U guys and the British, the Bristish came to India for trade and finally oppressed India and U guys are doing the same to those people who gave U shelter when U were homeless and jobless and today back satb them

Vijaysarathy is a malayali-tamil. So he praises all the crap in those two langauges. His knowledge of Holyywood movies is zero. The story of MO and Spileberg's Duel do not match. The Duel hardly had any female characters and most of the movie was on the highway with hardly any dialogue.
Vijaysarathy has a deep rooted inferiority complex of his balck skin so he does not watch Hollywood films. I am told he also has difficulty understanding English unless it is spoken with a thick malayali/tamil accent.

He also never mentions the rfact that malayalis are sly in copying third grade Hollywood films not to mention tamils propensity for stealing from latin and japanese films and music.
He recently parised malayali Priyadrashan who is a pathetic copy cat. This guy's rexcent "Mere Baap" wasa direct lift from a Hollywood film. Others that he has copied include "some like it hot", Boeing Boeing, Caddyshack, califonia Suite, etc. etc.

I am sorry to note that some rediff viewers are casting aspersions on Mr. RGV and about his ability to review Kannada films. As a person who has seen him for the past 3 decades I wish to clarify and categorically state that he is 100 % Kannadiga and calling him a malayali/tamil is in bad taste. Further, as a Kannadiga living in Bangalore he is also well aware of other languages like Tamil and Malayalam and so reviews those films too. It is too mean on the part of the reader to talk about the complexion of his skin etc. and his knowledge of understanding English. Before entering the film field, he was working with me in a leading Bank and I know his capabalities in many aspects. Now apart from reviewing films, he is a popular character actor too both on the big screen as well as TV in Kannada. The problem with Minchina Oota as I analysse is that the Director Mr.Ramesh created lot of hype prior to the release of the film by giving interviews with his actors in all the Kannada TV channels boasting about his film and thereby created lot of hype among the viewers but ultimately, they were disappointed. I have not seen the moview but I also learn that the music by V. Manohar is a big zero and most of the hit films these days are backed by soothing or foot tapping music.
My friend RGV, continue to do your good job and don't get disheartened by some bad remarks. You are really an asset to our Kannada film industry and so, keep the camera running.

good to know that we know a person who can communicate to Mr RGV.

Mr BSM u know How is our industry and our market, when this is the case is it really required to give each and every details of the film saying this is copied from this movie and that movie, just to exhibit knowledge. In karnataka all language movie releases and they comapre to kannada movie but in other state this is not the case, if it does deflty not like in karnataka. If a remake is made in kannada from the day one they start shouting that it is remake of Tamil or telugu or malayalam, but in other language they dont speak abt remake at all even it is done by superstars of respective state. By writing continously that it is remake other language ppl start making fun of our film and start commenting on our language, bcoz film is such a medium which gets lot of publicity and reflect our state & culture, but ppl are ignorant to know that we have got more number gnanapeetha award then any other language. Even kannadigas were hesitant to watch kannada film till recent. When tamil viewers called Dasv'm a dud Mr RGV gave a thumbs up and wrote from the begining to end, was it required???? ofcourse we kannadigas are very liberal and respect everybody, but see the message abt kannada, dont u feel bad when some useless dog bark at us, due to their ignoranance and pre set mind.

Reviewer's kannada movie knowledge??
by Sachin HC on Jul 12, 2008 10:22 AM  | Hide replies

Guess the reviewer's knowledge of kannada movies is a bit shaky...Shankar Nag's first Kannada movie was not "Minchina Ota" but was Girish Karnad's award winning "Ondanondu Kaaladalli". This fabulous movie immortalized Shankar as "Gandugali"...Both movies are very good but "Ondanondu Kaaladalli" is absolutely fantastic!! If I am not wrong Shankar won a National award for this movie

I had lot of faith on Award winning director Ramesh, reviews seems to prove film is not good. "The story and screenplay, which has been credited to Ramesh is so weak that the audience started yawning right from the start." Any how will watch it once..

Dont go by this guy RGV's review, he had said the same for Mungaaru Malhe and many good movies which turned out to be otherwise. Rediff reviews sucks, actually they give good reviews only if they are paid weell
