mehta being your last name, your understanding is bound to be limited. anyway just to let you know that this movie marked the debut of Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan. The movie has been produced by Aamir and directed by Abbas who was involved in script writing of munnabhai series. There has been a big hype about the movie thanks to the media. Now, if you still do not understand why everyone is going gaga over this movie, I would highly recommend stop typing and start reading.

everyone is entitled to their point of view, however starnge it may seem to 99.99% of ppl who've viewed the movie and liked it...
Jaane Tu is a remake/copy of a malayalam movie starring biju menon & shalini....I'm sorry I don't remember the movie name. Plz Bollywood do some movies with original storyline. Surprisingly, this thing has not been pointed out by any critic.

Ha Ha Ha Ha.. one more false claim that it's a remake of some south indian movie, which in itself was a remake of an old hindi movie.

Why every south indians think that Bollywood copies everything from south. You only like films which features too much fighting.
It was not expected from Aamir khan to invest & present such a movie. May be for money making. I was eagerly waiting for the film from the day when trailor came. I thought it would definitely make impact like RHTDM did musically. But its ok. it could make some money for amir. as it will be superhit.
Total waste of money. Nothing new to offer. The love stories have been repeated thousands of time. Also, bit lengthy and boring in the second hour. You pray at some point when will all the 3 conditions be fulfilled to be a "man" and the move gets over. But no, the movie still drags on.. Climax is full of humor. A guy running in the airport, check-in counters, immigration counters, security, all the way to boarding area. Just wow! Oh and this is on Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport!! The officer on walkie-talkie telling his boss that the terrorist is doing "meow meow" is the most hillarious moment in the movie.
If the whole track of Aditi's fiance would have been trimmed and the climax would have been more realistic, the movie would have left some impact.

hey ppl plz stop this north indian vs. south indian crap!! looks real bad that too over a silly movie thing!!! grow up ppl!!! dhikkaar hai!!!!
I saw this movie and have to admit that it was a good and an entertaining movie but things are a bit too overboard in this review. It was a good movie but not great cinema coz it had all the cliches of a typical hindi movie with an astoundingly ludicurous climax. I dont think it is just for great movies like Amir that they too get 4 stars along with this kind of cinema which is essentially leave ur brains at home kind of stuff.
