Thilakan has mastered the art of abusing better actors in the industry. He wants to be in the news and hence this drama. By acting as Perumthachan, one cannot be the perumthachan of acting. Superstars are superstars beacuse of their power to attract audience. Can you act in a film and make that commercially successful? And in the indudtry, we have better actors than you like Gopi, Nedumudi, & Jagathy. You come a poor 6th or 7th place Mr.Thilakan. Instead of abusing, try & grab some roles to keep living. Else, new comers will come and take your roles. And people like you have acted as obstacles to new actors.. including your sons :)

There is no wonder that people like Vinod Warrier fails to see the merit of an accomplished actor like him.He has come out in the open only now and I think anyone should be given a chance to explain his side.Mr Vinod Warrier, please come out of the mindset that makes you rank actors.Mohanlal is a great actor in world cinema.Superstars are not superstars just because they can attract audience. If that was the case all movies of them should have been super duper hits.An actor becomes superstar in Kerala using their talent and no doubt about the acting skills of our superstars too.He deserved the national award but he realised late how awards are given.Look at Asianet film awards-They always keep both the superstars happy by giving both some awards and bringing them to stage. When old age is knocking at the doors of these superstars, they need the help of tactics and well funded fance associations to shout for them.Look at Prithviraj. He is one who has suffered from the senior artists as many saw/see him as a threat. He has the talent but we saw when he was given a state award. Many openly criticised for giving him the award. So Mr Warrier, the issue is about the actor's merit and the sidelining politics which is well known by now.He has the right to express and you need not be so impatient.Gone are those days of intolerance.Happy reading!

Please have a look at the forgettable nonsense dished out by Pritviraj in the so called award winning role before commenting on the merits of the award. In fact when quizzed on this the chairman came out with a stale comment like the Indian cricket selectors of encouraging youth.
Thilakan is a great actor in all ages ever like, once I saw drama acted by thilakan in 1982 in Kozhikode. The troop was PJ Anthony theatre.Dont worry, in the world of cinema thilakan a mountain.
No doubt Thilakan is a great actor but then showbiz is one place where you need to be good in media management and relationship management. I guess Thilkan gave up the fight before the game started.
Sir, Please dont worry about the present situation that you may be passing through, cmon in the whole world wherever Malayalam speaking people exists, they are all aware that you happen to be the finest actor living during our times, I belive that you may be passing through a bad phase of time, common cheer up sir, we need you to entertain us and do keep giving us good movies. I am a malayali who has lived all my life outside Kerala although I was born in Kerala, I connect to my homeland through various Malayalam movies that I seldom get to watch, people living here around me including some big Bollywood stars have allways appreciated the high standards of Malayalam movies. I therefore request you to rise above these petty sqabbles like a towering inferno and do what you do at your best.

Thilakan is a good actor...
But unfortunately malayalamcinema is in the hands of oligopolist... Have to be in some lobby to exist...or have to be pall palli with everyon and should not be a challenge to the present team who rules...
Can Rajnikanth act 5 films in an year. Malayalam actors can do the 7 films in an year. In the recent event in NDTV, Rajnikanth was asked that he is an highest paid actor. Chidambaram is from Tamilnadu. Politically Rajni won the NDTV award. Will he win a national award for "Sibajji".

For your information sir. NDTV awards is voted by the fans and he deserved to win over another strong contender for the award, SRK. So there are no politics involved, rajinikanth is friends only w/CM of tamil nadu and jayalalitha, since they are also from acting field. He is not even friends w/other tamil actors currently in politics, only those two.
Def. Sivaji might win the popular award movie in national awards, like last year rang de basanti won, likewise this movie might win. But chandramukhi did not win last year so you can't guarantee it.
Sir, ur judgements are baseless and have no evidence whats so ever.

I agree with Ptabhu, There is only one Super Star in India, that is Rajanikant.
Even before his movies are relased they are hit, no matter wht the standard of the movie.Truely amazing!!!. No one ejoys that kinda of stardom.how many actors have the courage to walk on the street without a wig or any makeup?
Looks like people who compare Tajini with other actors in India, they are confused about acting and superstardom. rajni is a good entertainer, millions worship him.
Malayalam will never have a star like Rajni. Malayalam audience are compleetly different and there is no star worship. As I understand there are no fan clubs or associations for the superstars.
I guess in Malayalam Mohanlal or mammotty cvery rarely called superstars. They are known for their acting skills rather than superstars or megastars.
Its very funny that people fight over Tamil movies and malayalam movies.I beleive both the industries are well connected and notes Tamil dicretcors, actors appreciate and respect malayalam technicians and actors and vice versa.

Irvine. True in kerala there is no star worship. But mammootty has a fan club and its been running from late 1980's till now. Likewise, for mohanlal there are fan clubs in kerala. But these fan clubs are only limited in kerala. On the other hand, mammootty has a strong fan following in tamil nadu. -He addressed thousands of youth at the inaugural session of the 8th national conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India, Chennai.

Hey mahesh, Its not quantity important its quality which in everything wins. "Rajni" just name is enough, just test with a kid by uttering a word about the great entertainer. To my knowledge it seems Tilakan s right, I'm a great fan of malayalam movies(only good ones), Tilakan is a great actor.
no matter what anybody speaks about you sir.. you are one of the best..and their is no comparison for you as an actor..you are a versatile actor which i have observed..you have brought life to many characters.
