as a proud kannadiga its sad to see jayamala gettign the award. as a movie goer there would be many desrving (acrtresses too , in kannada) to get the award. jayamala was a c-grade actress of kannada. her roles were pathertic and can be called as titillating...she is a publicity hound and tried creting stir on the sabrimala issue...and evn tried to make that into a kannadiga pride issue...sad that she gets a doctorate.

But wasn't a doctorate conferred earler on the yesteryear Tamil heroine, now Amma of Cape Commodious, (Dr Jayalalitha) for her thesis on the vonly blind bat of Tamil Nadu ?
Great work Dr jayamala i think she is the only one who deserves it... than that raj kumar,vishnuvardhan... if they can give Doctorate to these 2 actors for acting skills then anant naag is better than both
