Common man reflect%u2019s in the move
by Satish Bhopale on Jan 23, 2008 10:34 AM  | Hide replies

When I seen the move %u201CJane Bhi Do Yaron%u201D I was simply laughing on the common men i.e. Nasir & Ravi Vasvani.
At the same time I was getting angry on the officials who are doing the wrongs and getting escaped due to the team efforts. I think it is a common story of the man of R. K. Laxaman, who is getting abused time to time by the Governing authorities Like Police, Contractors (Builders, I am facing this problem in Bangalore), Lawyers (Liar), and finally due to tension by the family members. I dont think I can stop it but I have to struggle for it till my end because I cant say %u201CJane Bhi Do yaro%u201D. After me people will say %u201CChala Gaya Yaron%u201D.

Good Movies should be remade
by Jeevan on Jan 23, 2008 04:24 AM

I think good movies should never be remade simply because they are so good that you cannot have possibly improve it!
Guys should look at some garbage movies and try to improve them by remaking!

this film
by ravinandanprakash agrawal on Jan 23, 2008 12:57 AM

This film is a classic because it was mostly an improvization..everything was improvised by actors. you can make out all actors are having fun..lots of things wern't there is the script..Kundan shah wants to revisit that style of film making where actors hijack the script completely and in the end it something as unbelievable as JBDY.. My instinct says that a remake or sequel of such magic is almost impossible because it wasn't a planned magic like Indiana Jones, Munnabhai, Star wars. Still you cannot predict such fantastic artists. You never know sometimes just one actors brings rest of the crew to a competitive edge and everyone just start..something similar happened in Sholay where Amjad khan gave everyone a run for their money, another good example is dharmendra in Yadon ki barat where his role was actually 5 minutes but he completed the film almost single handedly, a bad example is darr where Sunny and Juhi kept thinking ki ye sala kar kya raha hai and when film completed Sunny had a fight with Yash Chopra .."mujhe body guard bana diya?"

The scene where Naseer is talking to Satish Kaushik by the name Albert Pinto, is hilarious. Actually both of them are in the same room and holding a telephone set each but talking in other's receiver.
And the whole of Mahabharat scene is priceless.

Cast should be new.
by S Chat on Jan 22, 2008 07:31 PM  | Hide replies

It should be a to to remake of old one, but the cast should be new, as Akshay Kumar should replace Nasirrudin shah & Arshad Warsi for Ravi Vaswani.

Dude, did you understand the original movie? It wasnt about making people laugh...Comedy was merely an outcome of the situation within the movie...Moreover, movie carried a social message while entertaining at the same time...and puhhlease don't even compare Naseeruddin with Akhsay Kumar (not that I don't like him) but you just wont be comparing apples and oranges...it would be more like comparing an apple with brinjal (no offense to Akshays histrionics though). Adios...

ya right. You are too smart to pass a comment like that on actors like naseer, pankaj kapoor, om puri, satish shah, satish kaushik, ravi vasvani.. instead you wanna see 'hera pheri part 2001' with malaika doing a hot sizzling number between intelligent stuff... please read the history of the film and probably then you would know what its a classic. for those who came in late most of it was experimantal and actors improvised lots of stuff during the shoot..

Exactly right! The actors in that film, can give any of the new actors a run for their money. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro is a cult movie, a movie for the ages ...

Now, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Part Two
by Harkishan Haswani on Jan 22, 2008 06:59 PM  | Hide replies

I think, since this would again be a documentary type of a film, producer/s director/s & other team members should take totally new comers from the film institute and make them really work upon the latest stock market, bharat ratna, traffic & automobile industry races and many other such new subjects bundled together neatly to really make it rich and marketable in today's world. I think if Jaspal Bhatti (please excuse me if I have made a spelling mistake) adds flavour it would mean Sone Pe Suhaga.
PS: Anything wrong in my suggestion?

Remake or Part II?
by Hardeep Vora on Jan 22, 2008 06:54 PM

The last I heard about it, Naseer said in an interview that he would like to make a SEQUEL to the hit classic wherein the movie begins when Naseer and Ravi come out of jail after serving their time and see Bombay (Mumbai) having so many of the same flyovers!!! That sounds like a better plot to me that doing a remake.
