not to hurt religious sentiments but how many people have actually SEEN the movie to comment about its 'implications'...? if its gonna project Sita as a fan of the blues( or something like that) , then whats degrading about that...? anybody in their senses would just laugh it off... next time ppl, learn not to copy opinions...

Sorry but I dont know how to address. You say you are not an Indian then why are you taking this pain of working on an ancient Indian Epic. I dont see that you've done any research before writing all rubbish about Sri Rama and Sita devi. You seemed to have never talked to the right scholar who can answer your questions.
How dare you call our Sita Devi a doormat. Are you in your senses, the way you have narrated the story in your FAQ''s is so depressing and how can you relate yourself to Sita Devi. And you call yourself a cartoonist, I am sorry to say- after seeing the trailers for few seconds I was so disturbed and depressed the way Sita Devi and Lord Rama were portrayed. And you want donations from audience LOL..:-D

Oh my dont say this, I dont think dumping is uncommon in America.

Oh grow up!
First of all its a good thing someone cares enough to experiment with an epic.
Secondly have you ever written anything on the Ramayan or made a film on the Ramayan good enough to be chosen by the Berlin Film Festival?
No?
Then maybe you should cork your cryhole.

Anita seems you are soooo grown up that you feel Ramayan can be explained as "a witty, unlikely comedy interspersed with classic Jazz music" Seems like you have no knowledge of Ramayan, and like common stupid people you are impressed that it is selected for Berlin Film Festival.. fooorrr god sake stop getting impressed by white skin.... growing up does not mean that anything that white skin do is good. AND PLEASE PLEASE UNDERSTAND THERE WAS NO COMMEDY IN RAMAYAN

Harish... Very rightly said..there is something called as brains... which does not seem to exsists in you. As you say take a movie as movie...but Ramayan was no movie, it was a reality. If a movie is to be made then it should be made as a movie on reality, which you must have seen in lots of movie and serials. If you know little about Ramayan, you will know that there is no comedy in it, as being talked about as in this movie. Listen there has to religious sentiments to this, because people like you are the ones who praise eccentric painter like m.f.hussain to draw nude pictures of our goddess. And for yoru kind information I am neither in US nor in UK. I am very much in India

Controversies or extra-ordinary do attract attention from festivals so just because something is chosen for a film festival doesn't make it credible.
