What treatment did he give? Can you tell me? I was never a fan of Amitabh. I think Amitabh is headstrong. SRK seems to be better. But I am not really that aware of bollywood stars.
Ther is a cnn-ibn indian of the year awards, and in entertainmnt categry srk, rajinikanth and others were placed in nominations. Is this the same award, or ndtv awards on the same topic are another award from cnn-ibn? Anywys, some ridiculas ? wer askd by ndtv media i.e "..it is difficult for you to leave Chennai is because you bring the whole city to a standstill. Is that true that once you had to go to the airport and when you got out of the car, the whole city came to a halt?" Where did they get that idea from? The most bizzare ? ws from SRK. Didn't he alrdy asked this to mr.bachan, now he wants tips from rajinikanth too. "Thank you sir. But I notice that you are just talking about my sports and not my acting" Now tht was funny on SRK's part. Overall, hats of to rajinikanth for handling such stupid questions.

you are incorrect. Rajni is a humble, honest and sincere human being with positive attitude towards everything around him. Hence fame,money and fans follow him worldwide. Not many actors compensate the distributors if the film does not do well. Rajni started this and this would testify the humane in him.
I don't think Shahrukhan and Karan Johar are established idiots and they are interviewing a Rajini. They is meaningless ,they doing this for publicity.why are they always together?Is there something? In Hindi Aamir khan gives half decent movies a decent actor compared with hopeless guys like SrK and Salman. Self made actors like Akshay KUmar also deserve plaudits. I from North but feel Rajni is ages above AB, SRK etc, Though Amir can touch him but in another 40-50 years. He is too down to earth and helped a lot though there arevery few bolly heroes doing that.
I dislike Rajani simply because he is silent about Tamil's suffering in Sri Lanka, even though he is so much pampared by Tamilians. He is nothing without Tamil support. He is a selfish fellow. Shame on him.

Vijayanand, had your Rajani been only an actor I would have not raised this topic at all. He in fact is a very cleaver actor, threatning to join politics now and then and talking about destiny at the same time. Better accept the fact that he is a half politician from last 20 years and looking for a safe make up of a full politician with out any risk. He is an opertunist.

Rajinikanth is not in politics right now and he is also not living in sri lanka. The sri lankan government and tamil nadu government has to fix the problem and treat suffering tamilians w/respect. Its after all not in the hands of any actor/actress, ur saying that as if rajinikanth is a god tht can save tamilians in sri lanka. This is just fan following for his movies and it does not translate in real life.

Dear prakash, i can understand your concern for Tamilians in Srilanka, we do sympathise with them and as you correctly said they are between the Ltte and the military. if tamiliand need help and support LTTE has to go. they are there for power and not to help the tamil people, necuase of LTTE tamil people are alos being watched closely when they reach other countries ( As Militants ) The only way something can be done is to isolate LTTE and help the real tamil,s

If you go foreign you should quite. you should not ask them to obey you, you should obey their rule. Can you accept some outsiders come in to you house and order you. That is what happening in Srilanka. Even Isrel is the land for Arabs not Jews, Jews can stay their with the help and permission from Arabs. They can not rule Isrel.

This reply is to only hemachandar, so don't reply back to this commnt, since its abt ndtv awards not israel. Israel is a hebrew name for the country, just like other rulers who take empty land or rule in tht land w/other people. The same way israel happend, the only diffrence is the whole of middle east is of muslim origin/arabs. Egypt was also conqured by islamic leaders tht spread islam to a monotheistic egyptian religion in the past. Now since egypt is following islam, isn't proper to destroy those kings of egypt w/their pyramids and sphinx. B/c those kings are gods and their cultrue is very diffrnt from islamic culture. No israle is both jews and arabs country, because jews and arabs descented from one father of both these nations. They both accept abraham as their father of the nations, although not father of islam.

Mr. Prabhakaran, first of all it is funny that you are using the same name as the LTTE leader. Secondly, LTTE requested help from India in the past, asking at present and will do the same in the future too. They consider India as their father land. Thirdly, Rajani can change the public opinion by a simple hint at his followers. One word from him supporting Tamils in Sri Lanka will make all politicians here sit and think a way out. My disliking of Rajani is not a thoughtless exercise. I have full sympathy for suffering Tamilians in a foreign land.

Dear Chandra Prakash, LTTE joined hand with Sylon forces and said, they were their brothers and sisters and India is an outsider.It had happened in Premadasa period.For them they are using India for their vested interest, when they are suffering. Pls do understand that India has sympathy on them. But Killing our beloved Rajiv doesn't give any sympath and the put childgurard infront of our IPKF and killed them. How come they got all the powers without India as India trained them. Please understand Prabakaran used to kill his fellow tamilians if he is growing more than him. Ex: Amirthalingam,Padmanaba,Mattayaa, Tamil Chelvan and others. Everyone knows Tamil Chelvan has been killed on the order of Prabhakaran. He killed many tamils(incl Muslims and hindus). It is only for his own sake of power. The srilankan tamils are in catch22 situation as they are between two enenimies(prabakaran,cylon). If India sends anything, LTTE will take it. It is not possible for India to enter into this conflict.

Mr. Srikanth, I agree that yesterday's hero Prabhakaran in today's villain. I also agree that LTTE has done many strategic mistakes, including killing Rajeev Gandhi, under Prabhakaran's dictatorship. But we can not leave entire Tamil population of Sri Lanka in between hungry wolf Sri Lankan Army and mad tiger Prabhakaran. We have to save our people there at any cost. Rajani can talk at least in this line. That will be sufficient to creat a mass opinion, which will force our politician sit up. We have to eliminate Prabhakaran's domination and scare away Sri Lankan government, both at a time. Don't hesitate to accept that Rajani is coward as all selfish people are. He has no sympathy for Tamils who are crazy about him.
All superstars except current Bollywood prats were all simple human beings.
In South India MGR, Sivaji, NTR, Nageshwara Rao, Raj Kumar, PremNazi, Mamooty, Mohanlal all lead simple lives.
From North Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor were all simple for their intelligence.
All these actors did charity works but didnt publicize like Rajni.
Shahrukhan and Karan Johar are established idiots and they are interviewing a very big idiot in Rajini. Rediff can do better rather covering meaningless coversations.
An actor should be guaged by the quality of his movies and Rajni movie and acting are substandard.

Mr. Heart Burn "Vijay", how many rajini movies have you seen to proclaim yourself to be a rajini critic? I have a huge list of movies. I have seen his movies since 1980s to the latest sivaji. I am not a BLIND rajini fan, but people born or bestowed with qualities are 1 in a crore. You need to be a tamilian first to comment on rajini and you should have seen his acting from "Aboorva Ragangal" to "Sivaji" to make such a comment. If you like rajkumar, no issues, but dont sling mud without reasons because you dont like a person.

SORRY I AM NOT GOOD IN TAMIL AND I HEARD RAJNI GAVE SOME GREAT MOVIES IN BALACHANDAR. HE WAS ALSO A GOOD ACTOR THEN. HE HAS WORKED WITH ALL GREAT DIRECTORS FROM BALACHANDAR TO SIPPY AND MANY OTHERS, HE HAS ACTING TALENT

Check "Baasha", and a film "Aarilirundhu Arubadhu varai", "Moondru Mugam", those movies can tell you his acting capabilities.
As for your allegation, he isnt romancing with shreya, its the director who picks the heroine and he decides the roles. Some scenes could have been shot different in padayappa no doubt, but he isnt the reason for that. If you blame KS Ravikumar, its fair. Did rajini insist that he would act only with shreya in sivaji? I dont think so.

The only reason rajni is telling amitabh is shahenshah is becoz rajni in his early days acted in remakes of amitabh's hit movies. But if u see now amitabh fame has decreased and nobody even in bollywood is ready to accept amitabh as shahehshah But rajni's fame still remains, he still remains the uncrowned king of tamil cinema and the biggest superstar in india

Hello to ppl who are all fighting about rajni's acting.. Rajni already said in an interview that he is not acting for some national award. he is acting only to keep his fans and other people who love him to be happy and no producer who is making a movie with him shuld go in loss and he is giving what people expect from him.
As u ppl said if rajni acts in a movie like Black, the movie will go superflop. This is the only reason baba went flop becoz it was not a rajni movie and fans will never accept rajni in that baba's character.

What is the definition of "the world" according to you - "YOU". what you said was your opinion and I gladly take it, but saying the world laughs at these media and all those stuff is crossing the line. Also for benchmarking actors I think you need to have some quality and experience. I dunno abt shahrukhkhan and Karan Johar, but Rajini though he earns quite a lot in movies has not indulged into money minded activities that influence ppl to wrong things. He may be a bad actor but a good human and thats why he is at this stage.

BAASHA WAS RELEASED WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL.i liked the movie then. but now its appears overracting from Rajni.
ARGUMENT HERE: RAJNI'S FAN BASE HAVE MULTIPLIED IN THE RECENT YEARS, AND HAS BECOME INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO THE QUALITY OF HIS ACTING/MOVIES.
AS AN ACTOR HE HAS STAGNATED NOT THE VERSATILE RAJNI YOU REMEMBER IN 80'S. Same stupid punch dialogues, breaking cars and vans, dry smiles and over intelligent looks. all appears out dated.
Rajni fans must look everything at a neutral prespective.
Learn from Aamir Khan. He operates in a more treachrous bollywood and gives good movies

Why dont you understand that these movies arent made by rajini. Director has the say. Unlike kamal rajini doesnt meddle much with the director.
Lagaan, RDB & TZP are hits. He had made mangal pandey which flopped too. Rajini doesnt get into that mode. He is an entertainer and good human being. I dont look at logic in his movies, its just 3 hrs entertainment.
If you like serious movies, then you shouldnt be watching his movies anyways, they dont claim that movies was taken with 100% logic and flaw free.

Mr. Vijay. I pity your ignorance, I laugh at westerners for their cultural screw up. You see most english movies, the hero and heroine do kiss up unnecessarily, but the difference is they dont have song sequences which kind of makes you feel serious about the script and the movie. Otherwise their stunt scenes (predominantly) are also ficticious and far from reality.
I care a damn about westerners, coz we need to live for ourselves not coz some fool laughs at us. You should live in their community to know how they behave and then take westerners as god's and take their opinion to change your life.

indian express's tamil news paper three days back reported the sivaji will lose atleast 10 crores in tamilnadu alone,it is huge hit overseas but loss making in tn.have anybody read it what is the truth,not offending rajini just want to know,the problem seems to be with avm,if rajini was the producer he would have returned the money,shankar was also seen in bad mood in sivaji fuction, the news about the loss was also repoted in dinkaran,tamilmurasu,dinamni.

If Sivaji is not a blockbuster then I don't think Shankar will choose Rajni on a Rs.100 crore Robot project.
Most of the areas were oversold and some took at bite. I do not understand why these distributers want money back when they lose.

SIVAJI MADE LOSSES EVERY WHERE. IN TAMIL NADU THEY RELEASED THE MOVIE IN ALL THEATRES AND GOT SOME PROFIT STILL THE MOVIE DOSENT COLLECT ITS INVESTMENT AS DESCRIBED IN THE MEDIA.
AVERAGE IN KARNATAKA AND FLOP IN ANDRA AND NORTH INDIA.
OVERSEAS COLLECTION OF SIVAJI WAS LESS THAN DON AND MUCH LESS THAN OSO.
FINALLY RAJNI AND SHANKAR ARE JOINING TO GET BACK THEIR LOST MONEY.

because through media he promoted the movie. Ask some tamilians, the movie was released in all theatres across tamil nadu that prompted the audience to see although it was poor.
as the quality was poor there was less repeat audience apart from his fans and they didnt get back the spent money

Also, before the movie released fans got tickets in tamil nadu and karnataka. Even in japanese fans of rajinikanth came down to india. So money is alrdy generating even months b/f the release. Tht why the movie was a hit and aftr tht too, tickets came back and people still go and see it.

On what grounds are you calling Sivaji to be a flop in TN and an average hit in Karnataka. I myself came to Bangalore on the day and my br.in.law booked four tickets for Rs. 780/- (a ticket of Rs. 80 or 100/- was bought for Rs. 195/-).. last year at the INOX. The theater owner was a known person and he confirmed advance booking for the next 10-11 days with more than 90% booking on the average which were to get quickly filled up. I have been reading your posts and you appear to have a fixation against Rajini that you want to call Sivaji of all movies a flop movie. Its ok like zachary says that if you do not like Rajini then leave him out of the picture, but pls. do not stoop so low as to malign him and call a hit movie (not necessarily the best of Rajini or in cinema) a flop movie.
