Why hue and cry on her Visit to such places? I think the responsible autorities will rise and do something for betterment of society and civic facilities to which all humans are entitled, being best creation existed on the earth.

nice to see some one like Madonna coming all the way and not feeling sick to see our poor slumdwellers..a lesson for some of our glorious celebrities...
Dont make the the poor people in india a mockery infront of international community to shed their crocodile tears. It is indian govt. duty to protect and provide the facility to these people. rather than making them a showroom samples infront of outsiders.
- i feel it like the beggars who are made to display his rotten hand to people requesting the money.
and the foriegners come to visit shed crocodile tears and experss their surprise. ( as if they did not seen much worst situation back home)
more irritating is the people like mr.Secular india, who go along with this foreigners and will even goupto the level of using a stick to scratch the wound and highlight the puss. then enjoy displaying such rotten wounds to outsider and they feel they are doing a great job.
These people dont know how to apply medicine to the wound and take care of them, rather than making the situation a mockery in front of outsider

ya, well said. They just don't do anything to help overcome the situation. They just visit, take photographs and publish in their home country newspapers for publicity. Or Madonna may be thinking of showing these things in her next album. They have enough problems back home like psychos, murderers, gun gangs, paedophiles etc. Many NRIs are doing a good job by collecting a lot of money and donating to charities in India. Our media is not interested in showing those things. They are just interested in showing some white skin in papers.

Its true that foreigners come to india to shed crocodile tears but in america (and i have seen this) the government takes a lot of care of its below-poverty-line population....the kind of houses they r provided wud make millionaires in india feel modest.....
Beggar is also human slums are also homes, life goes on there. nothing is so demeaning as you all put it.
If you have an infection in your hand and the wound looks displeasing to your eyes,minds and pure souls. Do you amputate you hand or do you cure it?
If you want a better image to be shown then do some social work and make the life in slums better. Media has the right to show these things to the indian masses. They are begging for a wake up of the indian masses.
In the west if there are slums and homeless they are far better than what they are in india. Besides people stop and ask homeless people their conditions and try to comfort them. Fight for their cause.
Since ages the country is trying to opress the weak and poor. Cast system is an example of systematic corruption. This is our culture. face it.
Humanity is not to be seen anywhere in india. Only the family values are the greatest in the world. But hey what do we know there may be other families that are better than indian families.
We tend to think if our family is ok the world is ok. Come out of this thinking and change the world around u.
abolish poverty and caste system from india completely. equal society for all. love for all. help for all. then see the tourism grow in india and reap the benefit from it.

We are fortunate to be born in a time when this angel has consented to take birth in earth..
She should be made the next president of India and should also be given the Nobel peace prize..

Dude - don't understand.. What does Madonna being the most beautiful, with the most grace, poise, etc. have to do with not wanting to meet Shilpa? I'm all for Madonna for Prez of India - but Peace Prize...?? Seems we have a BIG Madonna fan on the message boards...eh Poopa..
