hey man, why thinking so badly, any way it is india, why making filim industry these kind of religious controversies,
I switched it off at half way through. Its a lift from the Wil smith movie, the Hitch. So I dont know how can such a stupid movie be compared to " taare Zameen par" or "chak De"
There are three kind of performers with respect to the nature of their fan base
Category X: The Sensitive to Women Type: Eg. Tom Cruise, Shah Rukh
Category Y: The Macho Man Type: Eg. Arnold, Stallone, Salman Khan
Category Z:The genuine Acting type: Eg. Ambitabh, Tom Hanks, Aaamir Khan, Nasseruddin Shah
Usually, category(X) actors will have a large female following (esp from the romantic/feminist/intellectual type) and a small male following (sensitive/romantic type)
Category (Y) will have a large male following (traditional/single/chauvinist/wannabe body builders) and a small female following (insecure/non-feminist/Mills and Boons type)
Category (Z) actors cut across gender and genre parameters...because of their genuine talent in acting. Their fan base has people of all ages. They excel in whatever they do.
One curious fact to be observed is that outright "Action" and "Comedy" roles are successfully played by Category (Y) and Category (Z) actors alone. Category X artistes don't have the ability to laugh at themselves. Hence, though they can be witty, they can hardly be comical.
There are some more observations that is to be made. No space here.

This article is total crap,as people have family names like kapoor,kumar,chopra,singh,so khan is one of them like that.Khan does not mean anything but like any other Indian .They are successful because they are good actors and worked hard not because they are khans.I do not know why people bring this kind of nasty thoughts here.

Salman is in limelight because of his bare body act in movies, which Sharukh realised and riding on this funda apart from his film marketing technics, which fetched him 300cr in OSO. Aamir is the real MAN who made his name and money by real hardwork and rest of them are fake Khans who package themselves.
Media wants to make a living so, they hype Sharukh.
Long live Aamir!! BTW I have to admit that this is one of those stupid articles which rediff is known for :-)

i think all the khan's hit only b'coz they are good actor as well as public loves them.it is not true they only hits b'coz they are khan's.i m also fan of all these khan not b'coz they are khans b'coz they deserver it. agar khan hona hi important hai to ayub khan ,saif ali kha(starting me),& so many khan's kyoun hit nahi hoye including aamir khan's brother faizal khan
Iread this artical& iam surprise of some artical were people differincate stars into greed,culture&relegion.khans is not only influnce our indian fans but they infulence others as well.They are the gems of our indian film indutry sorry to say none of our actors did the magic like khans in indian.

there are many other khans in film industry.who could not survive.....it cant be a khan rule.... anyway we got the admit srk, aamir, salman were accepted by most of the indians which lead them 20 years of rule and would continue... as there are no other consistent actor to be compared.. hrithik will make one hit when is father directs and rest all flops...akshay he is good since past 2 years only..cant measure is stability based on this..
