Wow!!!! What a Good question!!!
In my entire life, I swear I have never ever encountered such a life-altering question being asked by someone.
My dear vefbvef ebegfb (whatever you call yourself), let me try and explain it you in the language and logic you seem to understand:
1. Let us say you want to travel from Mumbai (which is in India) to Singapore (in S E Asia), do you ride a bullock cart? Or an airplane?
2. If your answer to Q # 1 is Airplane, then where do we get on Airplanes? In the harbor, in a bus stand, in a railway station or in Airports.
3. If your answer to Q 2 is Airports, that is the answer to your "million-dollar" question.
On another note, ONLY in Airports, everyone is treated as equal, they need to have an individual ticket, passport, visa, go through Immigration check, security check etc., all by themselves without being hounded, mobbed by their secretaries, chamchas, fans etc.,
It is easy to spot a celebrity and have a chance to take pictures, that's why
