Kamalhassan is one of the best actor in World Cinema. This film will be a huge technical treat. Lot of Technicians have given their commitment to prove themselves to Hollywood level. Wishing Kamalhassan, Dasavatharam to be a big success.

But even the Tamilians consider him only next to Rajnikant. Rajni may be a good human being. But I think as an actor, Kamal is the best out of these duo.

Great point. Rajni's humility is his strength. Like he put all the comparisons with Amitabh to back burner and called him an emperor. People you feel insecure can't give credit where its due.

And one more thing to the world of cinema, I humbly request all film lovers please watch the Shivaji Ganesan-Savithri starrer yesteryears' "NAVARATHRI" film, you will wonder without any technical support, the late thespian has done a marvellous job. What Kamal doing is nothing compare to Shivaji Ganesan

Hello Iyer If you want to praise Sivaji Ganesan or Rajni Baba, Go to some other blog or get lost. This is about KamalHassan. If the stage of comparison comes, can Rajni Baba can do the Appu role. An actor must have guts. Our KamalHassan is a specialist for every thing. He can act. direct, Story writer, Singer, Music director, He is an institution. Even Rajni Baba also admires Kamal. When Kamal started to sing songs, Rajni also started to sing a song which cannot be heared. Only thing I want to say here is If you are /not a fan of KamalHassan, you must think that a Tamizhan is doing a fine job. Not a Karnatak person

Dont say this karnatak and other things... Super star is INDIAN first of all, as v all r... Regarding comparison Mr.Rajini kant can be compared with him as it has been all these years... Both r travelling in different paths... They both r respected as legends in Indian cinema... Even they r very close friends and admire each other... Then where this crooked thinking comes... FYI i am a Die hard fan of Mr.Rajini kant... I like kamal too... All the best for Dasavatharam... On the other hand Super star's Robot and Kuselan will also ROCK...

They are in two different roads of cinema.During 1980 -90 there was balanced competition. But later Kamal started looking for different roles and movies and deviated himself from commercial movies. Now he known for the risks he is taking rather than success. Ofcourse, we need both of this greats to keep the Cinema industry grow in one or other way.
I wud say SONY BMG hav not chosen the correct path to launch itself into tamil cinema. Kamal dont have a BIG opening when compared to likes of vijay n ajith. Its a bit of gamble which may pay off. I would bet on some vijay movies which will surely be up there in chartbusters.

you don't know what is good opening. Vijay and Ajith have nothing outside Tamil Nadu. Only Rajini and Kamal has good opening outside Tamil Nadu. You know Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu collected how much on opening day?10 crores. Kamal(Ajith too) is not a type of actor to pay to cinemas to run his movies for 100 days.

If u ask about Kamal any where in india people knows.He is a national actor but your ajith and vijay are only kids doing some dance and low class stunts in tamilnadu. nobody knows these fellows outside tamilnadu.

Hey guys, This is only about audio rights. Did vettayadu vilayadu's audio collection created any records. i'm not talking about the visuals here nor the comparisons with acting. when did last time kamal's movie had record in audio collection?

national actor means in what way, he has not acted in any Hindi movies directly, simply dubbing his own tamil movies and the Hindi belt still admire him because of his Ek Duje Keliye character, that also because of KB Sirs wonderful story and direction . Kamal's movies are not much saleable in Mumbai, where as Rajni's Shivaji has been released in 17 theatres in Mumbai, and some theatres runs it full day shows and huge cutouts were put up in Malls, where even for a blockbuster Hindi doesn't have that. Vettaiyadu Vilayadu may be succful in tamilnadu, not in northern states, especially in Mumbai, it was released in a or two theatre only and that also only one show. Kamal is a excellent actor, I agree, but at the same time, not a saleable actor, especially in northern part of India

You see Kamal acted from the age of 5 yrs, he has completed 50 yrs in cine field and now also he is having the capacity to compete with all youngsters (including mouth kiss). Morover he has not celebrated his longtivity in cine field but others Rajini, Vijayakanth, sathyaraj celebrated 40 yrs / 25 yrs completion. Kamal has acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Oria, Hindi & Bengali film. He is the only actor got 3 time national award and padmasree award some 20 yrs back. He got 18 times filmfare award and now he told stop giving filmfare award. He is always seeing international quality in film. He stopped fans association and purely following secularism. We may give Indian Top Award to honour him.

Hello Mr.GB, what Kamal has not achieved in his 50 years (crowd pulling) others have achieved in a short span of time, hence they deserve to celebrate their success. And about the awards, all the awards you have mentioned are given to him not because of his talent but purely because somebody in thejurie admire him someeay, or in some way associated with him. And it is a universal truth, that the awards given by the Govt. of India, Film fare are not to be takem, that it has been given for the talent the concern person has achieved. purely decided by a couple of people sitting in the juries decided about to whom the award has to be given for that particular year. Hence, Amir Khan never attend any award function till date and for your information he has not got a single film fare award, because he is against the selection procedure of the awards happens in Government lever and Film fare level. Now a days awards are not given, they are brought by the concern persons. real awardees are public. still MGR movies, fi released anywhere in tamilnadu, runs successfull and see good box office collection, even Rajni's old movies if re-release will get good cash to the distributor, but Kamal;s movie will not yield even one day rent also to the theatre owner

Rediff get ur facts correct, dont post false articles...SONY BMG had already entered the regional market in 2007, A Kannada Movie (Ninade Nenapu) was relased in 2007 under SONY BMG.
