HELLO DONOT comment without watchingf the movie..Its one of the best indian movies of the year
It is a good story with some interesting scenes but the evil portrayed in its raw form is very menacing and lingers long after we walk out of the movie hal. Sound recording is horrible and so is the editing which leaves several unexplained sequences. The characterization is also a bit confusing. The hero is not averse to bloody streetfights but can't wield a revolver or see the artificial encounter being carried out in front of him!! It would have been an interesting film had it been mercilessly cut down to two thirds of its length

"but can't wield a revolver or see the artificial encounter being carried out in front of him".. the hero feels bad about the artificial encounter and tuns his face because at that moment he would think that that same thing would happen to his friend. Not because he is frightened.

i was very disappointed to see Evano Oruvan bombing. If such good movies don't work, what can directors do? they will end up making Masala Movies with all hit ingredients. That kills the whole industry. At the end of the day - people are responsible. This not only happens in one particular industry...it is same everywhere...
like johny Gaddar bombing and OSO becoming Top Grosser...can't help dude...that is how our audience are :)

Just shut all urs and watch the movies. movies are for entertainment and not for any thesis submission or people who thinks genius of themselves. it should appeal to people on streets as well as high class people.just shut up and dont comment on everything....

Sameer Bhagwat,
I do not understand,in which maniratnam movies u have seen a person overacting, u should not just comment Maniratnam's tamil movies without seeing his movies which has been a trend setter. please watch the following tamil movies("Mouna Ragham", "Agni Natchithiram","Nayagan", "Kanathil Mutham Ittal", "Anjali", "Dhalapathi"), These are lis of movies which have changed the current trend of tamil cinema in different era's.
I guess u would not have got a chance to watch some old rajnikanth movies like 'Aaru li irundhu aruvathu varai', wherein rajnikanth would not have used any of his styles, but he would have done justice to the story and screen play. I will agree if you say that Vijay does not know acting(he dances well), but do not comment on rajni's acting skill without seeing his old movies, now he has changed himself to do masala movies, but he is a better actor then many Bollywood/Kollywood actors.
