It looks so silly to be discussing and talking about who is the best actor etc. when we should salute and appreciate the real start Sreenivasan who has written such a lovely script. Oh, what an incredible talent this guy is. And see his looks. Only a state like Kerala would accept him as an actor and make his movies hit. Whoever said the real star is the hero of the movie. The one and only star of any movie is the story and script. Nobody can deny it. Kudos to Sreenivasan for such a lovely movie and that too touching the lives of simple and common people of India who wears just a simple shirt and dhoti and not jackets and jeans. Not taking the credit but Mammootty too was first rate. Oh, what an actor he is. Even a simple 1 minute scene he makes it memorable and hits our heart. I hope the other versions too is a hit but doubtful whether Tamil and Hindi audience would ever like such good movies.

Agree. a faithful remake of the movie might not go well in tamil/hindi, i think...
Would anyone believe if i said that this guy Srinivasan once used to live in my colony in Chennai. I have spoken to him on a couple of occasions and seen him during his morning walks!! This was when one of his films(in which he acted) Lesa lesa(Tamil) had been released... easily 5-6 years back..
This article is only abt interview w.sreenivasan abt his recent film and the remake tht is goin to be done in tamil.
Why all these top 10 actors and stuff like this actor is the best, tht actor is the best, he is worst. Even worse was a person bad mouthing a state and pourin in all the history lessons.
Woa, wht is that all about. I don't know why you fans of these actors ar so crazy abt them to defend their star ratings and evn suggest top actors. Come on, just go and watch their movies and forget abt the actors.
The only real credit thts been given to actors for their works are the film awards and national awards and all tht stuff.

Thanks, Nirmal for calling Mallus "frogs" because you are just a tadpole. You need a few more years to became a frog. Every year half-a-dozen malayalam films are remade into Hindi and various other languages. But it is very rarely that we hear a Hindi film being remade in Malayalam. This fact alone is enough to showcase the creativity of Malayalam films and the lack of it in Bollywood. But let us not generalize things - Film industry everywhere produce some good films and a lot of bad films. This holds true for our film industries as well.

I think you got the place were christ was opposed in. Christ was opposed in israel by the jew religious fanatics, he was born in just after A.D. He never came to kerala, and i don't know abt gandhism in kerala.
But the first person to destroy british forces and retaliate against them is mysore's tippu sultan. The travancore faced alot of problem w/british rule and pazhazi raja was one of the leaders who retaliated against them. Even b/f ghandi started his mission of retaliating britishers, ther were already karnataka,tamil nadu, and kerala kings tht successfully defeated britishers.
Just by reading ur history on christ and ghandi makes me just assume why people are arguing w/u in defending their opinions or attacking ur opinions. Its no use, since ur an illiterate person, and others ar tricked to playing your games.

Mallus are like frogs in a well...with commies ruling them who have a mindset of 60's and 70's ...we can never expect anything new from mallu movies as well...even the so called 'master film maker' Adoor has a mindset of 60's which is very well reflected in his cinemas, he never tries to innovate anything new..so is other film makers and writers in malluwood including this sreenivasan..
people outside kerala will definitely understand that the mallu movies and actors are just craps!!!!

May be true. But then, if a foreigner sees any Indian movie, he say the same thing about Indian movies. All Bollywood movies are cheap copies Western movies And all Tamil/Telugu movies are routine fares dishing out the same thing in different names. Although Mallu movies lack style and Mallu movies are the only place where you can find original stories, albeit they being not very contemporary.

nirmal narayanan - Proabably you forgot most Mallus leave outside Kerala and watch English, Hindu and Tamil movies as weel. People are just taking you for a ride on this blog. Take a hiding.
Srinivasan has proved he is a versatile actor and make his audience forget they are seeing a movie as his role makes one forget Srinivas and remember only the character he plays.His humour has questions and answers to most of the problems faced in day to day life.His humour can also prick those who should get the prick at times.Sure he has done justice to this film also and is worth watching.He likes the character to be down to earth and not sugar coated or underestimated.That is how a true film should be one with the masses.
