RE:RE:SRK will win

Its like asking the parents of the kids. Of course parents always shower praises on their kids, whatever they are.
But the outside world has a lot of people who will judge, and the best people to ask if srk is best actor is the audiences countrywide. Not mummyji farah and pappaji karan.

Well, even ayesha's character in black made us cry. So its the same w/darsheel.
The kids always get these kind of characters to make the audiences cry and feel sorry for how a parent or somebody treats children or the condition of a child, be it diseases or others.
So that, aftr watching the film, parents or some people in the film might change and start treating kids in certain cirumstances or even appreciating kids regardless of their circumstances.

The fact is Darsheel gave the best performance of the year, weather he's new or not, it isn't lifetime achievement award, the award is the best performance of that year, hence Darsheel gave the best performance, and without him then who will be recognised as the protagonist.
Darsheel deserves to win this award!!! SRK is overrated & always get Filmfare awards because of his popularity despite his film not doing well. This time though he did well in Chak De. Abhi also acted superbly in Guru. Lets see!!!
Darsheel has definitely given an outstanding performance in Tare Zameen Par, but still I feel he should have gotten Best Child actor instead of getting nominated for the best actor category along with Shahrukh, Akshay, Shahid and Abhishek becoz Darsheel was made to act in that manner and the credit goes to Aamir Khan for bringing out the acting from him, but other actors are grown-ups and have already gone through many seasons in this industry, (except Shahid who's comparatively new) they have gone through all kinds of emotions while making a film, its not that they dont get any acting tips, but lets understand that getting acting tips and bringing out acting right from ABCD is different. So I guess Darsheel should have been contended with Child actor award only instead of creating a fuss of getting nominated with grown-ups. After all age definitely deserves some respect. Jugal Hansraj and Urmila were mind-blowing in Masoom but does that mean that Jugal Hansraj is anywhere near as an actor in front of Naseerudin Shah. Of course not and I fail to understand all the fuss abut this awards.

Well, darsheel has his rights to voice his opinion and i think to be nominated in the best actor instead of best child actor is ok. But the real question is does darsheel have his audiences that is bigger than srk, akshay, abhishek to vote for him the popular awards. Since fans are the only one who decide in the popular awards conducted by filmfare magazines.

that means Farah Khan shud not be nominated for Best Director for OSO or SRK for Best Actor ?? Aaamir got the best out of Darsheel but that is only job half done it was still upto Darsheel to emote the same on screen and make it a commendable performance..BTW i dont think SRK and Akshay shud even be in that category..

SRK was fabulous in Chak De India, fine getting nominated for OSO is not fine but Chak De was simply outstanding Mr. simply outstanding and Akshay was wonderful in Namaste London, so u tell now

I too agree the way SRK acted in ChakDe, an award-deserving role. But, no way Akshay would get it.. He's doing the same kind of roles everytime, I pity for the audience who make it a blockbuster... In fact, Akshay has not done in his whole career even 1/100th of what Darsheel done in TZP or SRK done in CDI/Swades

Akki deserved to be recognised for Namastey London, it was controversial role.

In last years filmfare, hrithik for dhoom 2 was abs. suprising. So don't know wht suprises this years filmfare is goin to give.
There ar good choices i.e abhishek(guru),srk(chak de)darsheel(TZP) and i think thats the main three guys who suprised audiences in their choice of acting in such films as these.
But since, darsheel came on interviews suggsting, he shud be nominated in the best actor categry not best child. Thts the main reason, its the first time a child actor is gtting nominated in filmfare's best actor.
So prob. darsheel might gt this award, but i think they shud not give him the award b/c they don't want to hurt a kid's feelings. Since its not in jury's hands but the fan's hands to choose best actor in the pop.awards.
I have no doubt, if darsheel is nominated in critics choice best actor, he will gt it.

Not done buddy......irrespective of age Darsheel deserves the nomination.whoever wins is different. If credit goes to Amir for bringing out performance from Darsheel, then Mani rathnam deserves the credit for Abhishek's performance, so on for others as well. Here we are looking at the actor alone.
BEST DIRECTOR Aamir Khan (Taare Zameen Par) Anurag Basu (Life... In A Metro) Farah Khan (Om Shanti Om) Imtiaz Ali (Jab We Met) Mani Ratnam (Guru) Shimit Amin (Chak De! India)
BEST ACTOR Abhishek Bachchan (Guru) Akshay Kumar (Namastey London) Darsheel Safary (Taare Zameen Par) Shahrukh Khan (Chak De! India) Shahrukh Khan (Om Shanti Om) Shahid Kapoor (Jab We Met)
BEST ACTRESS Aishwarya Rai (Guru) Deepika Padukone (Om Shanti Om) Kareena Kapoor (Jab We Met) Madhuri Dixit (Aaja Nachle) Rani Mukerji (Laaga Chunari Mein Daag) Vidya Balan (Bhool Bhulaiyaa)
In the best film catgry, i think oso and jab we met shouldn't hav been nominated, instead shoot out at lokhandawala and ghandi my father should be nominated.
In the best director catgry,i think farah khan shudn't hav been nominated instead apoorva lakhia or anil sharma (apne) shud hav been nominated.
In the best actor categry, srk(oso) or akshay(namaste london) shudn't have been nominatd. Instead, akshay khanna(ghandi my father) and vivek oberoi(shootout) shud hav been nominated.
In best actress categry, aishwarya(guru),deepika(oso), and rani(lcmd) shudn't have been nominated. You guys could choose who else could be nominated besides rani, aish, and deepika in their respective films. For me tabu in cheeni kum is one of the three tht cud replace the others.

Well Madhuri's was the worst, How she get a nomination with film like Aja Nachlaye which only offers cheesy dancing than tough acting.
RE:Nominees - 53rd Annual Filmfare Awards

I hardly think guru is going to win, since that film nor its director has gotten any awards in stardust, screen awards, etc...
So, the competition is only between chake de and TZP, jab we met does not seem to make into the race between TZP and chak de. OSO is def. out of the race.
There is limited competition for the rest of the category. Theres definitly no competition what so ever, in the best actress category. Seems kareena kapoor will walk away for the award in the critics choice again. And madhuri will gt best actress since obviously its her comeback role, and the same ws done for kajol in last years awards.
RE:Darsheel: A Good Child Actor
by farhad on Feb 07, 2008 10:06 PM
Credit should then go to all the other directors for bringing their performance out, an actor is an actor, if Darsheel should win the best child actor, than other nominees should win the best adult actor, its not nice to segregate.
Meaning of actors doest have any age bars to it. Some people complaining that why Darsheel wants to the best actor. First of all he only wanted to get best actor nomination. It is up to the jury to decide weather award should be given to him or not. Darsheel is the main protagonist of TZP n just beacuse he is 9 years of age doesnt make him the hero is absurd. Great big b gets awards at 65 then 9 year old atleast derves nomination.
RE:Best Actor

Filmfare has two kinds of awards for best perfomances, popular and critics.
Darsheel is prob. nominated in the best actor in popular awards. In this case, darsheel needs audiences that outnumber srk, akshay, abhishek fans/audiences to back darsheel up for getting best actor award.
The jury only decides in the critics choice awards. I think darsheel should be nominated in this category too, since he doesn't get enough votes in the pop. category.
I am sure he'll gt this critics choice awrd for best actor, since all critics praised tzp, aamir, and darsheel.
