wat Mr.joseph ponited out partly correct. ther is much fan following for lal in Nair community and for Mammootty among musim youths. That is a fact. but this factor is not as big as to determine the fate of a movie..and it also doesnt mean that they hate the star from the other community.

What you are saying is correct. Nair community supports Lal, since they make huge money out of functions, patta pirivu etc. They encourage the Ezhava fans to create trouble like howling at other actor's shows. They actually hate lower caste hindus but pretend to be nice and use them nicely. Hats off Joseph for having the guts to say this. This is very visible in Lal's key strongholds like Thiruvananthapuram. Mammooty has another fan following, one mostly Muslims in Malabar belt, two non lal, non muslim fans (Hindus and Christians) who have the opinion that they themselves are mini Mamootys (Good looks, smart with deep voice). These conceited fools constitute a big chunk of his fanbase
if what mr joseph said was right then all the films of balan.k.nair,kottarakkara sreedharan nair,balachandra menon,suresh gopi,prithivraj,krishnan nair alias jayan should have been super hits.mone josephe,u r as narrow minded as some of the roads in EKM.

Jayan's all movies were superhits after he became the superstar with Angadi. There was a solid attempt to launch SG as superstar and now the same is happening with Prithvi.. others were not acceptable hero material.. open your eyes and see the truth
If you agree or not there is grooming factor in Malayalam movies, the communal card for the suceess of a movie. Mohanlal belongs to Nair community and whenever his film is released they make their best to make it a hit.This was also the phenomenon beneath the initial success of late Sukumaran movies. I am not questioning the superdom of this tall actor.

Joseph, Thomas, Chandy, Anthony, Chako, Mathais are all jealousy creatures of Kerala christians.These guys only knows to eat non veg (specially Kala and Poth erachis)and their main bobby is jealous; their ladies are somewhat forward minded people. If everyone see a film after looking the caste or religion of the hero, then all Mammooty films will be flops... Mammooty's Rajamanickam is one of the biggest hit in the malayalam film history..And remember one thing College Kumaran is Mohanlal's 6 th flop in a row.. Grow up Joseph..

Saw the film yesterday.its a film meant for Mohan Lal Fans..i went with some of my friends..not that much of hope especially after the dud Flash...but this time Lalettan did not disappoint us...its a time pass movie..
This may be college for "Vayojanavidyabhyasam'( Where students of more than 50 years learn"). Though a good actor at least now he can think about his and act suitable to his age. Most of the time his heroines are less than age of his children. I used to think father making love with children.

guess that neither you have gone through the review clearly nor you have seen the film. Check out mate. Mohanlal in this movie is not a college going buff but a canteen manager in a college campus. This is what i could make out of this film review
