i think ghajini is one of best movie of all time hit.Only Aamir could have done this role - investing a lot of energy, emotions. He knows when to undeGhajini is the most well-crafted memorable movierplay and go overboard.
I didn't think I would agree with the review of this movie, but after watching it, I agree with Raja Sen. Ghajini remade Memento, but they got rid of the best parts (the narrative and the ending). Also, Aamir's screaming all the time felt unbelievable (especially when he came out of the elevator). Finally, the action was annoying. It didn't seem believable. The action was like a typical south indian movie or a movie from the 80s.
Ghajini was much awaited movie of the year. Personally I was not that excited, as the story of the movie was not exciting for my taste. A man loses his love and memory in a fatal attack. Then he only can remember 15 minutes at a stretch. Given the condition how he takes revenge, is what movie all about. Anyway I found myself in theater to watch the movie with family and friend. And I did not like the movie. The last 45 minutes was really dragging. Scene from where Asin exposed the gang, later got killed till Aamir took revenge was really lonnnngggg 45 minutes for me. Besides the biggest drawback of the movie is the story. It’s really unconvincing that Amir Khan’s character does not have any other option, besides taking revenge. After all he was CEO of a big mobile company. Even after all the set backs, the right way for any character was to go though the law and took revenge. That would be Stories revolving around personal revenge are so 1980s. Aamir Khan looked good in the action part, acted reasonably well. But in romantic part he looked short, wrinkly and old (Mostly that song Behka). Don’t get me wrong about the age thing. I like to see a 40 years old man working as a lead character in the movie, but not pretending to be 25 years old unless he really looks like that. Asin was cute and has really good potential. I don’t know about Jiah Khan. She is just ok.
Only Aamir could have done this role - investing a lot of energy, emotions. He knows when to underplay and go overboard. the looks in the climax fight is un-Aamir. the chocolatey sweet lover boy image goes down well with the naughty, golden-hearted asin. She has done well. Songs slow down pace. Otherwise, eminently watchable movie. Take a bow, Aamir!
