Does it matter who wins these reality shows?
by Ashutosh Didwania on Dec 24, 2008 06:33 PM

It seems these reality shows simply keep on churning losers. Where are the previous winners? At max they can either be seen anchoring some other reality show or participating in filth like Big Boss.

Added to lot
by Nikhilesh Sinha on Dec 24, 2008 06:22 PM

Another added to the lot! Where is Abhijit Sawant, Debojit Saha, Anik Dhar, Sanchita Bhattacharyya etc etc? All went into oblivion! The do only stage shows and earn money! All promises of 'great' composers went in vain!

Shreya is exceptional!

This season was not good At All
by Dharmesh Gupta on Dec 24, 2008 01:25 PM  | Hide replies

Unlike last season where there were Abhas, Harshit and Ishmeet, There were not many good singers this season except Mallar. I really liked the way he sang. I hope he will get some work in this industry. As we all know singing in not a business everyone can do, there fore sometimes people votes can also be wrong.

I feel the real winner in this seaon was RITEESHA....she was outstanding and and real upcoming star. Rest all wer eaveragely good. judges are damn biased and public voting is baseless...this time it was indeed boring

It will be v inappropriate to be harsh on Amul VOI 2. Firstly, this time they brought as many representations they could from various states which is certainly applaudable. Its not an easy task to conduct talent hunt shows in every part of the country and surface the best talent. This was an incredible effort. So the show was a little stretched out which is obvious and especially since they brought back the judges favorites. Judges were biased in many ways and its not visible what the judges do to polish and train these participants other than commenting on their performances. The participants can only do so much with whatever little guidance and practise they get. I suppose during the show, the participants should be made to focus on their performances alone rather than engaging them in promotions all over. The organisers have multiple shows to manage on different channels so perhaps the participants do not get as much training and finishing as they would expect out of a show like this. Anyways, all things said n done VOI is not the only place for music lovers..

Ismail was not good in judging people. and also suckwinder was always encouraging the punjab guy. it is very bad he should treat evryone equal.

Total Agreed! Ismail and Sukhvinder were caught up in bragging and bringing up their personal favorites. There seemed an extreme bias towards Saptaparna even when she failed to perform. Vipul got umpteen chances/come backs and unlimited praises, although he was certainly not the best. But am glad they kept Ravi safe in the semi-final round. Ravi was irresistable and his attitude through out the show was very grounded and real!

Selected a useless singer
by ganesh r on Dec 23, 2008 09:13 PM  | Hide replies

Eventhough his voice his not good he won, It is because of the judges because ritisha and some other singer were singing well from begining, but judges gave less marks since they doent like them. and also it is surprise to see ravi winning. This proves that VOI2 is not a good show.

Not true. Ravi has an excellent voice quality. He is versatile and fast grasping. Vipul, Malhar, Saptparna, Ritisha etc are not 1st timers. They've been around for a while attempting shows/contest and are classically trained unlike Ravi. Given that Ravi was absolutely novice in the field of music, he did damn good. I suppose now that he is here, he will certainly grow as a singer and do well! Let's appreciate what we have. It's still been the decision of the masses. Be it for his charisma, his singing or attitude - He is public's favorite. So respect the opinion of other fellowmen too!
