Define 'cheap publicity' and before you post such pointless one-liners kindly mention your assumptions. The tenor of your statement reeks of disrespect for barbers. You include 'anything' in your comment as if Amir commited any crime. The means one chooses to seek publicity is entirely upto him an you're no one to pass judgment over it.

Suits Him
by Moumita Boral on Dec 22, 2008 07:59 PM  | Hide replies

Suits him. Tough I have always admired him for his acting skills (I still do that) but he is a psycho and an idiotic person. The way he has been behaving with SRK for no reason in the media is absolutely nonsense and doesn't look good for a star of his status. unnecessarily he is attacking SRK, either calling him dog or try to deman him in some way or other. No wonder despite being a better actor than SRK, it is SRK who wins the hearts of people, as well as the super star status. And SRK is far better human being than him, he may be proudy but what ever he is SRK never peretends, he always behaved in the same fashion right from the time he started his career, unlike Aamir Khan who was always into hibernation and never came in front of meida, but suddenly out of blue, I guess he is in the limelight and is up to some cheap media tricks. Doesn't suit u Mr. Khan. And ya u may try the Barber profession, may be u'll get a chance to make a dig at barbers now in front of the media.

Check out this article from Indiatimes Movies if you think Rab Ne is 'suerduper hit':

Yash Chopra has been having sleepless nights after Yash Raj Film's recent film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi didn't prove to be as big a hit as expected. He has finally decided to take control of things. Earlier this week, the long-expected meeting to get YRF back to its earlier glory took place between Aditya Chopra and his father, Yash Chopra.

This meeting was long overdue as industry insiders were wondering why Chopra Senior wasn't taking the necessary steps to set things right at YRF after the banner suffered a loss of over Rs 100 crore in the last two years.

A well-placed source from YRF said, "Yashji was taken aback when the opening of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi wasn't as encouraging as expected. The fact that the film's collections improved after the first day and then dropped on Monday did not help much. Earlier this week, Yashji had a meeting with Aditya to discuss these matters. Yashji was particularly against the idea of hiring several technicians, directors and writers on a contract basis. Yashji was also quite concerned that the music of none of their recent films had done well. He felt that selling the music rights would have been a far better business decision."

According to the source, Yashji called for the meeting as he was upset that as many as 10 Yash Raj films have not done good business in the last two years. The only films that did average business were Bachna Ae Haseeno and Rab

Ne Bana Di Jodi . Only two Yash Raj films, Dhoom 2 and Chak De! India proved to be successful. Their experiment with animation ( Roadside Romeo ) also failed miserably. Even the audio and video divisions have failed. One of the first things that Yashji wants to do is start directing his long pending film which will probably feature Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.

"Many directors like Sanjay Gadhvi and Kunal Kohli have left YRF and several actors like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan don't want to associate themselves with the banner. Yashji wants to tackle these issues himself. He will be enforcing some rules after considering every aspect," said the source.

The recent Yash Raj films that failed are Roadside Romeo, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Tashan, Aaja Nachle, Laaga Chunri Mein Daag, Tara Rum Pum and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom.

Aamir surprises everyone with his promotional skills!
by Varun Mehra on Dec 22, 2008 06:38 PM  | Hide replies

Aamir Khan has surprised everyone with the promotion and marketing of Ghajini! Well, if the Ghajini cut is becoming so popular, then what could be better than the superstar himself giving the cut to his fans?
A great way to personally interact with one's fans! And a fresh way to promote one's film too. Rock on Aamir!!
