their is no recession in bollywood and tv industry, producers are having a foul cry.so they can get away with more money and pay technicians less as actors wont listen to them.
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has netted around 25 crore in its first weekend in India. The Mysore circuit has seen record business. Delhi/UP and East Punjab have seen the second highest first weekend totals after Singh Is Kinng. Mumbai circuit is behind Golmaal Returns, Om Shanti Om and Singh is Kinng.
The film is a sure shot hit and is the most profitable film of 2008 but it remains to be seen how far its Indian theatrical business can go. The opinion in the trade is divided on this as some say it will fade pretty fast from Monday onwards while others say it will settle down after the initial resistance from the youth audience.
Mumbai circuit has seen 10.50 crore business, Delhi/UP is 5.50 crore, East Punjab is 2.75 crore, CI is 65 lakhs and Mysore is 1.10 crore. Bihar and CP Berar have fared the lowest and business is Average in these circuits.

abeh band kar .. the film occupancy today is 30% go and check the box office update
most heros are charging 40% of their last prices and the gals are charging just 30%. they are so desperate. financiers have stopped financing producers.
Stop paying these so called Stars those crores they dont deserve at all...The film's budget will go down, the film will sell faster and make more money...SIMPLE!!!
SRK is such a hamming actor. Dont people and directors observe the grace and expertise of Amitabh Bachchan?
SRK always hams. Either he's laughing, crying or stammering. But never simply talks. And acting... acts like a female would act. In Josh he looked neither a male nor a female.
What kind of directors opt for such an actor!! Its not entirely the fault of cinegoers, since we all go for a hit film and not on acting prowess. Its the directors and production houses! Drop SRK like a hot potato. In the future, he anyways is gonna grow a beard, wear pathani suits and join a "secular" party.

SRK was simply great as simpleton in Rab Ne but there's only one king in present industry and that's Akshay ..... Its only akshay who can be a complete entertainer ... SRK is a very competent actor but with lots of limitations .... he can't do action roles nor he has the class to enact emotonal roles where more the HAMMING is required.... SRK is the most overrated actor in indian movie industry and a big let down where ever the need of ACTING PROWESS are concerned....

You mean to say that he is a better actor than Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal, AB Sr., Irffan Khan, etc. to name a few just in Mumbai films. Let's not even star comparing him with the hollywood names like Sir Anthony Hopkins, Jack Nicholson. Robert Redford, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks... Please think before you write.

Common guys.... Do you guys mean to say akshay is a better actor than SRK? and a bigger star than SRK? Akshay as an actor cannot really come closer to SRK. Simple reason is...akshay is not a director's first choice. People like you repeatedly say akshay's films made a bigger business than SRK's. Is it really true? What happened to TASHAN, WAQT and Jaaneman? Bombed like anything. Is he a better actor than SRK? Does he has any film to his credit where he received acclodes for his acting prowess? Apply some brain mates......

I pity you.... wake up. He has already done wonders with his awards n box office collections through out his career....
When people said he can do only similar kind of roles...he surprised all with his acting in swades, chak de india and now in Rab ne.....what more you expect from him???. huh?
He got a famous award from malaysia recently and thus lift our India Internationally...what more u expect from him??? huh??
Sachin is good at batting...if he is scoring 100's ...will u critize him that he is not good at bowling!!!!!!!!!!!!?????. This is what you are doing by saying sharukh can act in lover boy roles!!...But he proved that he is a versatile actor!!!. God bless shahrukh.
I challenge any actor in bollywood to act like Shahrukh khan in surinder sahni's role in Rab ne....NO ONE WOULD HAVE DARE TO DO THIS ROLE as this requires pure talent which only Shahrukh has!!!!. God bless Shahrukh!

What "different" are you talking of??At the end of teh day its the same love story..Apart from swades & Chak e he has hardly done anything different..But See AAmir..Be it Lagaan,Dil Chahta Hai,Rang De Basanti & now Taare Zameen Par (can anyone beat that??) & now the look in Ghajini...now that is called different....

you guys...dont know the hot selling property of bollywood..if you see the current rise..it is only Hrithik Roshan...who can neat them all..the other thing is he is the next superstar of bollywood..see his variety of films like..koi mil gaya,lakshya,krish,dhoom2,jodha akbar..ill feel pity on you guys..can anyone match that

I agree ALKESH. Ghajini is also the copy of original film MEMENTO from Hollywood.
