I am not sure if I can call it best movie of the year, but it certaily is better than ANY movie released in last 4-6 months. Though I found, the middle half a bit dragging, its emminently watchable. Nothing preachy about it.
Don't mind..but it takes a bit of unbiased nd intelligent thinking to get the superbly put subtlety in this movie..and that too against the backdrop of a loud mouthed delhi life.. this imagery is FANTASTIC boss! It's a comedy..yes..but more like the comedy our life is.. not what No-entry or singh is king is..
not that i am going with this statement as it bing the finest movie of the year but yes..oye lucky lucky oye is damn watchable.the entire cast has done a wonderful job and this is a worthy follow up to khosla ka ghosla. abhay deol is highly underrated..he is excellent in this movie.worth viewing.

oye tera naam he fuzzy wuzzy hai......akal b aise hogi.....i dnt say it is best but it is better movie to watch......fuzzy wuzzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
You know you are topping off an awful year of reviews by Mr. Sen when he asks you to go watch OLLO. Specially two comments in rest of the usual crap...
1. OLLO is the finest film of the year
Well, the only possible reason he can write this is because Dibakar Banerjee must be his chaddi-buddy. I dont want to list better movies in 2008 because the word limit here might let me write only 50 names. Make your own list.
2. The best dialogue in the film being the "Sansani khej" one.
Oh Phuuullllleeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz!! Thats not even slapstick humour. Are you complementing or canning the movie when you say it is the best dialogue of the movie? I am seriously confused.
Raja, I really liked your compilation of "Worst Hits" and in that very same order you put it. How can the same person call OLLO as the best movie of 2008? Give it 2 stars and call it a time-pass, watch-if-you-have-nothing-else-to-do movie, I can understand but "FINEST OF 2008"?
Is there anyone else in Rediff who wants to watch the movie and write another review? I really want to understand if I am missing something glaring.

I agree with you friend, this movie does not come in first 50 film releasd this year. Actor of Paresh Rawal's caliber has been wasted in all his roles. Better to watch some other movie again for nth time then to watch Oye...!

lol. dat was somewhat exaggerated BUT i agree bout the "sansani-khej" thng being the best dialogue.. LOL..dats amusing..he found it to be the most hilarious thng ever?!! ahem there were SO many other lines he cud hav said fr best dialogue, NOW,i havto say, would hav listed them but word limit..word limit!
May be there's 99% of articles by Raja Sen, which are biased, but i think this is under remaining 1%. Oye lucky....is a nice movie.....and also unlucky too........ Abhay deol has carried the movie well.....really a gud actor
like mumbai terror, I dont mind lighting a candle every day,, but please please stop publishing his stuff. His articles are more scarier than LeT. @Rediff, please send Raja Sen to POK so that LeT are scared of Indians and wont come to India again!
