Why so?
by Raghu on Dec 05, 2008 02:53 PM

Reviews of such movies appear intsantly by noon on teh release day itself, but for movies which has so called big stars like Shahrukh, Salman or Aamir, you have to wait for more than a day to read the review. Is it because th reviewers do not understand their movies in one attempt or they are engaged in bargaining with these stars for writing better reviews?

Not a disaster

Ms. Sukanya says that Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam was a disaster, which I feel is wrong. It had its own share of witty dialogues, funny moments, etc. Just because it had Mallika in the lead, it does not become a disaster.

It was a disaster, financially speaking. As far as the funny moments were concerned, it gave less laughs than any C-Kompany (which was distinctly not funny).

I saw the first day first show at 9.45am. And let me tell you all that I never have laughed so much in any film screening as I did while watching this.

Its burstling with humour in every scene, almost. And the humour never goes cheap or slapstick.

I have never seen Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives, but I know he is a great director. However, Director Anil Senior's Dil kabaddi has all the charm and laughs in the right place.

Every character in the film is enjoyable and the actors put up fantastic performances, be it those who come in for miniscule roles.

After reading few revies here and there now, I guess only those people who accept that Infidelity is very much part of a metropolitan city's life will be able to enjoy the humour.

For all who are conservative or traditional or does not want to accept the reality, ae in for a rude shock!

Go on enjoy this film. It surely deserved way better promotion and youth will hit on it for very sure.

A very easy 4 out of 5 for a film which not just has performances and script, but fantastic camera movements (i guess it is hand handling motion frame), perfectly in-sync background score, appealing cinematography and some good production values.

NO REVIEWS PLEASE
by Rakesh Pandit on Dec 05, 2008 02:09 PM

I think Sukanya should only watch the movie and keep the review for herself.
Let the discussion board decide how the movie is.
Sukanya - If you want to ignore the above advice and still want to go about writing reviews Please REVIEW your review from your SHUBCHINTAK's before publishing it on rediff.

maybe this reviewer is a student of mr.khalid mohammed who had this habit of writing everything in his mind except the film itself and still hold one's head high as an pseudo intellectual.

Ban this author; like Raja Sen

Such a haphazard review….utter waste…in this fast life style no one have time to go thru such a haphazard review and then again going through it to get the actual meaning. I am getting confused while trying to rebuke this stupid review which don’t tell about the content in simple plain English……….

People hide their ignorance in words!
by samyakgowda on Dec 05, 2008 01:42 PM  | Hide replies

Those who are quite ignorant about what they're talking about or have very limited knowledge try to hide in big words like Sukanya Verma here.

Or may be she wanted to prove us that she has a laptop and a Webster's dictionary in front of her.

It's not so difficult to write like this.

If I have to say that "This review here is not good at all, because it's verbose and makes little sense", I can as well say "the presumed dissertation over here, is quite flat, in consequence of perpetually prolix prose and makes scraggy sense".
