SICK MEDIA
by anurartha venkataraman on Nov 27, 2009 05:02 PM  | Hide replies

One sane piece of advice for the media is dont turn such a sad event where so many innocent lives died into a bloodsucking contest, by drawing out the same emotions and whipping up the "atmospherics" so that news achors can drone on and on with their sonorous voice[many of whom have hands stained with blood in 26/11, with their sole aim being getting the scoop impervious to the lives inside, the candle light marches where are they? The socialites and the taj and the oberoi, but no one cared for the massacare in BBVT] mostly about themselves because they think they are bigger than the news and shoving the mike to make some more people cry! Instead of holding the establishment accountable and finding out what has been done and what has been the failure and writing analytical pieces to inform the common man, the media is doing a dastardly thing. Please stop droning on 26/11. Please also look into the assam blasts, the suicides at vidharba and other tragic events and last but not the least do not come in the way of the police in their operations.

and one more thing, some of the news anchors think they are beauty queens, they should quit the news reading trade[one must see the bbc in the uk to understand what restrained reportage is] and probably turn to other avenues where their beauty and glamour can find voice. What is needed now is hard from the ground journalism of P.Sainath.

For a person like us not get caught in such insidence, it may look like an act. It may not get him an oscar but his act only saved his life.Well done. No need to criticise. He narrates only his experience. Take the knowledge from it. Who knows to-morrow we may have to act.

Others weren't as lucky as Jeetun. The Indian who shoved him to floor has come in form of God for Jeetun. Im sure he will be indebted to that gentelman. Artical didn't specify whether the man who really saved him is alive of dead.
May good keep him good health.
