Mumbai - Moving Towards A Dead City
by Aadi Manav on Aug 21, 2008 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

The previous charm & glory of Mumbai is no more.Gradually its turnign into a dead city with too much load on the infrastructure that is unable to serve more than 1.25 crores of its people.
The influx of people from all parts of India and especially from Bihar & UP has made Mumbai to stink like a toilet. There are potholes on the road, traffic jams, overcrowded trains, increasign slums & beggars. Due to this even petty relief to the citizens has become a dream. The authorities in Mumbai unable to keep in control the problem of stray dogs. This is not at all a matter of pride for a city that calls herself the financila Hub of India.
The politicians from all the parties are busy in makign money by selling the prime land in Mumbai and miniting crorres of money. Again they take the precaution of preserving the interest across the parties so that there is no opposition and every party & its politican gets his share.Due to all this chaos the terrorists & the Naxalites have made their headway into Mumbai.
On the oterh side Mumbai is victim of political and regeinal rhetorics and administrative anarchy. A day not long wher we would see major industries, service and evven the Bollywood & Stock market shift their base outside Mumbai & Maharashtra.
The power cuts and load shading has started even in the sub-urban areas of Mumbai.Mumbai is really dying and its impossible to save her.
