There's a familiar saying in English; "Familiarity breeds contempt" This is true in certain contexts and advertisements is certainly one of them. Brands keep changing faces in their Ads frequently to keep abreast of times and in tune with the latest happening (read heart-throb of public) in the Bollywood. There's nothing wrong in changing faces and if a younger is welcome on the TV and yielding results why not go for it? USA has voted for a young & dynamic President; so why not young faces in TV Ads?
consumers are not swayed into buying anything just because of who is trying to sell it.its the quality of product which is most important.ad makers are mad if they think the face matters.an ordinary looking unpainted face would be more impressive instead of pastry-types being served every day.

Yes John. It's a matter of guess how many products sell by Ads alone. While I've endorsed for young faces in TV Ads, the question remains how many of these Actor-models actually use the products they endorse. Shudn't the publicity be thru' word of mouth as is done by a reputed international company dealing in all sorts of products like skin care, homecare, health wellness to name a few where the publicity is thru sheer word of mouth of actual users.
But why should these actresses endorse products? Why not leave the job to professional models? Star actresses charge crores of rupees for single endorsement which ultimately flares up the product cost. The extra money ultimately comes from the pockets of innocent consumers. They have to pay a huge price for watching these actresses, advertising their favourite goods.
