If YRF had not had the dispute with the multiplexes Tashan would definitely have been the biggest opener so far. Given that, it puts Singh is Kinng's opening into perspective. Both over-hyped films hoping to cash in on that fact.
Who really cares these days after the 1st weekend. The public has been hood-winked and squeezed dry and from then on only the die-hard fans of the stars will watch it.
But if it's a good movie (by Bollywood standards) like JTYJN or TZP the audience will actually grow.
ITS COMPLETE ENTERTAINING MOVIE WITH BRAINLESS STORY. DON'T TRY TO FIND OUT STORYLINE BUT YOU WILL ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF THE FILM. TOTAL LAUGHTER THROUGHOUT WITH GREAT TREAT OF ACTION, SONGS AND COMEDY.
DON'T LISTEN TO FEW WHO DELIBERATELY WRITING AGAINST THIS MOVIE.
THIS MOVIE IS BETTER THAN WELCOME AND MUCH BETTER THAN OSO.
* Singh Is Kinng is grossed an unheard of 29 crore nett over its first weekend. The gross figure is 45 crore. The film smashed the 22 crore weekend record held by Om Shanti Om by a huge margin.
* Singh Is King grossed 59.50 crore worldwide over its first three days. This is a new worldwide record smashing the 50 crore worldwide total set in November 2007 by Om Shanti Om.

Movie tho bakwaas tha. Like Tashan, all hype no substance (how can someone get on a plane headed to a different continent? In this day and age??). Atleast show that they had to take connecting flights and the only one available was via Egypt (some plausible even if stupid excuse, instead of what they showed). Songs and dialogs were very good. Definitely wait for the DVD, instead of $10 bucks...

We can understand ur Frustation after Watching this Total Bakwaas Movie...My Whole Sympathy to u...And U can compare it with OSO bcoz after 3 bakwaas hours u need rest time to be at least Worse not like the Worst when Watching this Sick (Sorry SIK) movie...

mayb your group had goras, you shuld have thought them a bit of hindi before you guys walked in to watch the movie. I too watched it in AMC 42nd st, but no one left during our show. infact people were clapping and laughing like crazy.
i saw this movie in new york AKSHAY WAS WASTED ...POOR SCRIPT JOKES CANT BRING A LAUGH....AND SHEER WASTE OF MONEY..IT DOESN'T STAND UP TO THE HYPE....I THINK IT WLD FLOP AFTER 4 DAYS AS IT CLD ONLY COLLECT MONEY DUE TO ADVANCE BOOKING BEFORE RELEASE...HALF THE PEOPLE LEFT THEATER HALF THE MOVIE....

Hera Pheri, Andaaz apna apna are the top leagues .... few movies can reach there. king is in the league of david dhawan hits.
