You are right , it is Amal Gupte . In zee cine awards he thanked everyone except Amir Khan, but later he disclosed the movie ws directed by him but Amir took the credit.

TZP was nt directed by Amol Gupta...he started it bt cud nt continue it....then aamir took the project.....the film was 100% percent directed by Aamir....u SRK fan always jealous....there is hardly ne director in Bollywood who can make TZP better dan Aamir did it... u shud know d fact before posting ne comments...

Dear Middya,
I think u r wrong. I had read an article in rediff itself, when this movie was being directed, that the remaining parts of the movie would be directed by Aamir and it was reported that only a little more was to be shoot or reshoot.
Anyway, he cannot ignore the contribution from Amol Gupte, to have such a great story and script.
If i give any credits to any preson, I would give to Amol rather than Amir.......

Dear Reporter, read it plz Reportedly, Aamir Khan and Amol Gupte, the man behind Aamir's directorial venture, Taare Zameen Par have finally decided to bury the hatchet.The controversy regarding their break-up has come to an end as Aamir has decided to keep Amol's name in the credits as writer and creative director of the film.
But what exactly went wrong? Apparently, Aamir Khan and Amol Gupte started having serious differences of opinion towards the end of first schedule of Taare Zameen Par. Amol's name was eliminated completely and Aamir turned director from day one.
Aamir and Amol's friendship goes back a long way. They were in college together. In fact, Nasir Hussain, Aamir's uncle and also the producer of the film had cast Amol as the hero opposite Juhi Chawla in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT). But soon after, Mansoor Khan, director of QSQT, scrapped it and replaced Gupte with his cousin brother, Aamir who was assisting Mansoor at that point of time. But Aamir wasn't comfortable with Amol's ouster and promised to work with him some day.
After many years, when Amol came with an idea, Aamir was impressed, but decided to launch the film with another title. Amol came up with a story that revolved around a child who suffered from dyslexia. Sources insist, Aamir's son also has some degree of learning disability. Dyslexia is a specific form of learning disability that manifests primarily as a difficulty with reading and spelling.

Agreed,Amir can not direct such agood movie all by him self being a rookie director,He is not even good actor(still in learning process).

Well Amole Gupte himself has said that Aamir had almost sidelined him towards the end & he suddenl announced that he is the actual director.post that he actually only went on to re-shoot 6 scenes including the climax.Now the actual truth is only known to Amole & Aamir and some insiders like Kiran Rao, ab isse zyada aur kya kahen?

srk has also essayed a variety of roles mr raj. the lover boy{ddlj), a caring father(kkhh), a strict coach(chak de), a indian working for betterment of his village(swades), a true lover(veer zaara), an obsessive lover( anjaam) and many more. if you cant consider this as variety, then pls define what is variety according to you. amitabh n dilp kumar i can accept but not akshay kumar. cos earlier it was all action oriented films( bearing the title khiladi) n now its all comedy( be it hera pheri, bholl bhulaiya, hey baby, bhagam bhag welcome or singh is king)

Yes, every one complain about verity and in the true sense nobody can define it. Further, if Amir is doing good roles then there is no need to complain about what other actors(may be SRK or others) are doing. This is absolutely childish. There is no point in expecting same things from all the individuals, every one is special in their own context (just as Amir says it in TZP).

some years ago he has won the best actor award of dil...but from 1 day before anil kapoor buy that award from filmare mangment after that he never attend these kind of award functions...that is the greatness of amir

It is on Kamal Hassan's recommendation about the Gollapudi Org, he accepted this award... not flashy clumsy filmfare...
