Entertainment hai bhai.
You can't expect the movie to show romance as well as serious career planning on part of the youth...these movies are not meant to dish out advice, this is simple pure entertainment for people who pay a good amount of money to have a few hours' of timepass! and yes, time is moving on, parents are changing but there will always be a generation gap. it was not necesaary for abbas tyrewala to portray it in his movie in the way u r used to seeing conflicts within family. u seem to have gotten used to Ekta Kapoors family soaps on TV! Time to watch out!

I dont know what the movie is all about... Its college going kids falling in love and unsure about that- common give it a break. How many more movies are gonna come out with the same formula! Why cant the directors think out of the box and make some good movies. Nowadays youth choose the subjects and they know exactly what they want to become and its not like they waver and spend the whole time whiling away. This whole phenomenon of not knowing whether a girl and a boy who has been so glued that even the parents thought they were made for each other is anybody's guess and I do not understand why they would spend so much time in explaining , which seems hilarious while watching the movie. Most Indian movies do not show what is reality and they come up with the same subject - Love and we are being smothered with this non-stop nonsense. Many of my friends said that they re-lived the past but I do not see anything enjoyable in that movie. Sheer waste of time and money! The most ridiculous of all is parents giving their suggestions to their kids who have just passed out of college!!! That does not happen anywhere in India. In this fast paced world, everybody is striving hard to secure good positions and come up in life and not stuck in a dilemma as to whether they love their close friend or not!! Grow up!

Stupid analysis

These movies don't represent the real India. They are just fantasies. Which middle class kid does not think of career after the education? Not all middle class kids can afford convertibles etc. What is so cool about switching to English? I don't see Gen X and Y or Z in other countries switching to English or French and thinking it is cool.
