After good start at the box office, Kuselan seems to be fading out. This Rajnikanth starrer was touted to be a crowd puller initially but trade reports seem to suggest quite the opposite now. While losses are reported from all quarters, some theatres have also resorted to the extreme measure of cutting down the number of shows. The situation is alike in all the three centers – A, B and C.
According to trade pundits the losses incurred by Kuselan could be more than that of Baba. It is believed that Pyramid Saimira, the film’s distributors and those screening the film on MG basis are all reeling under the loss. Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say that Kuselan’s failure in the C centers was due more to Rajini’s explanation to Karnataka regarding his speech during the Hogenekkal fast.

Its really sad to see a harmless movie review could rip open barrage of racist remarks,rebuttals and counter offensive. It really sad indeed to see our brothers and sisters are hiiting at each other instead of making constructive criticism. My view is, instead of getting all fired up and emotional over our film stars, why don't we gang to gather and make sure they (filmdom) take Indian films to where it should be. If it is a good movie lets praise it and vice versa. Please don't allow ourselves to be embroiled in unwarranted racial/language/ethno culture quarrels. I am Malaysian of Indian descendent(Tamil). Here in Malaysia we are so proud of our origin (no matter Tamil/Telugu/Malayali etc... and that feeling transcend past all the ethno divisive barriers. We are mighty proud of our origin but we don.t deface our sister culture/laguage just to feel good.Here we are surrounded by foreign cultures (Malay/Cinese/ western) but if something happens to one indian all of us will voice out our support no matter which ethnic group he comes from. By the way I just saw the movie, its nice. Especialy the last 20 minutes is great. Pasupathi had done a great job. Vadivelu..well..he tried hard..very hard.. and some may find it not so humourous ( don't expect too much ok) and finally Rajini showed why he is loved by the masses.During a song sequence the "bass" seems to be blurping but that must be due to a faulty speaker in the "mega THX cineplex)
super stars kuselan is really a great film and some dangerous fellows wants to make damage that film in commenting wrong, because the only reason is there are all just jealous of rajini and some poilitics, bnut one thing is sure no one can stop rajinis successand next to god fans like me is behind him always..i see kuselan 3rd time today , i like it verymuch, the onely thing miss in theat film is fight, that is a great missing for the fans, other than that everything ok..
