Is this orignal show? Never, It is the copy of FOX network " I am smarter than 5th grade". I am wondering why indian filmmaker or TV can't produce something orignal, why? Why they have to copy everything from Holywood, why? Why so called superstar have to depands upon all the time on Hollywood? How you can claim that it is your when you have stolen it from someone else. What a shame ! I used to watch indian movies or TV but i don't watch any more. I don't live in India so i was alwas looking for indian movies but not any more because every movie is the copy of some hollywood movie Some movies are even 100% carbon copy. I will be glad to watch some thing orignal than copy. I hope that so called superstars will think about it and think that why they have to copy everything???

listen my friend eventhough the concept is copied i would say its great - there are billions of people in india who doesn't know about the shows in north america - so I wont say that its copying its just bringing entertainment and presenting in your country in a new way and letting people know - and even copying requires lot of hard work, brain, skills and so many things - i think there is nothing wrong in it

Woah woah..the show isnt copied mate...its just relayed in INDIA too, kind of a thing. Most of the countries do that...we have the same show here too in NZ..its called 'Are u smarter than a 10yr old' jus like we have the IDOL thing running in all countries..and also the KBC...its just the entertainment package that gets sold off to other countries and all the countries do is customize them to thier own country knowledge.... besides everyone needs to copy something or the other..its just the matter of getting INSPIRED..... give it a break man..!! i too dont live in India..but trust me..i wud rather watch 'KAPPSTH' rather than "are u smarter than a 10yr old" to watch something indianized feels different.....n better when u watch a similar CONCEPT.....n thats what all the above mentioned shows are.

The name of the show in USA is "Are you smarter than a fifth grader?". It is a good show to copy. The kids love it and it is good, clean fun for them. What is wrong with copying something which is positive? I do not hear too many complaints when the negative stuff is absorbed by the desi masses on a daily basis. I think along with our own Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Boogie Woogie etc, such shows are better fare for the kids than the twisted western influence presented to them Bollywood-style.

The actual name of the show is "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?". I watch it occassionally but not as regular fare. Well, it is a good show to copy..nothing wrong with that since it is something that kids can relate to and feel good about!!! :) Hopefully, the desi version is going to have good viewership. Since these days the kids are regularly fed with gyrating female forms to bollywood music, a show like this ( and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa etc.) is a refreshing change.
A triangular prism has 5 sides, not 9 as noted above. Sukanya Varma needs to correct her math-basics when coolly writing these articles, before criticizing the participants, who are under pressure!!

hi swati, the writer is referring to edges in a triangular prism, and not the sides.

I felt it very lousy just in first week. The first episode was the ultimate lousy game. I got bored by just watching 10 mins. and I watched MTV Roadies for the umpteenth time and thought it was better.
Sorry, but if the lady has reviewed or editor for that matter has reviewed this article themselves, how come the headings and conclusion of the article are pole apart. To save you trouble its as below -
HEADING: SRK's classroom is fun. CONCLUSION: What Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain needs to work on is its wit, spontaneity and reality while blending enlightenment with entertainment --------------------------------------------------- It would be not wrong if many people think this article is just a paid publicity stunt.
Its seem with all the thing SRK tried to up his presentation of KBC than AB, so people say his show presentation was better than AB, but unfortunately it fell in comparison by huge margin. SRK KBC show was entertaining but not comparable to AB.
When it was understood clearly that with all cars/watch other gifts given, the show was not doing any better and cannot come out of AB KBC shadow. The show format has been completely changed along with price money.
Honestly, the street would be deserted as once it was with a serial called 'Nukkad' when AB hosted KBC.
Though I like SRK movies Chak de, OSO etc and I no SRK hater.
For whatever reaon, the programme Panchvi Pass just doesn't have the bite of KBC which was most enjoyable. SRK always tries hard to liven up things, but the script itself of Panchvi, lacks the clincher-element. STV
I believe the students are spoon fed with the answers before the show. Some of the questions are not 2nd or 3rd level grade, they are quite tougher. I doubt a 2nd standard student answering questions on history or science. (watch 'paanchvi pass' liveee on webmirchi.com)

If you look at their books, they have a subject called General Knowledge. It covers almost the entire things.
