wats the point of this article..some1...any1..??

why do desis bristle at portrayal of cows, beggars, untouchability, filth, poverty...etc They are widely prevalent/actively practised..
if it's embarrassing, do something construtive abt it. Taking offence at such portrayal, denying it is'nt justified.
When exploring a new place, its the local
/regional flavours that catch the eye and are of interest. mcdonalds and cofee shops, they are everywhere and boring...

You are correct. But you must understand that there are many hypocrite with a false sense of pride and blind nationalism. For them, they are the most superior and anyone finding faults in them hurts their blind nationalism. These are intolerant people who want others to act in the way they expect them to act.

If one's not open to constructive criticism they cant improve. For these people, they dont need to improve cos in their minds they think they are the most superior one.

All they do is and want others also to do is, show only the best parts...the tall buildings, malls, some rich neighborhoods, cars, etc...while neglecting the millions of poor who, in their minds dont exist. They dont accept the flavours and cultures of the poorer class. Western world is their idol and westernized parts of India is what they like to show in the camera. What kinds of nationalism is that? Do i hear...'pseudo-nationalism'?

Need some urgent Tips to save maximum per diem for my US visit .
Hi All,

This is Venkat Balusu from TCS Hi tech city Hyderabad. TCS is sending me to New Jersy for Johnson & Johnson Project. I want to save maximium per diem allowance. What should I do?
I have already done the following things:

1) I have packed 7 kgs of Rice , 7 bottles of Pickels and 2 dozen maggy noodles.
2) I have packed 2 dozen of medimix bath soap.
3) 6 tubes of shaving cream.

How much does a hair cut costs in America?
My colleagues told me visit Mac Donalads for Lunch and dinner. Is it cheap?
Whether pirated telugu movies are available in New Jersy?
Can I access idlebrain.com at client site?
Can I get curd rice and rassam in new jersy?

What else I need to take with me?

Kill the cows for beef. It tastes great. The more they are tortured while killing, the better they taste.

Last month when I was at Nizamuddin station (New Delhi) - I saw a FIRAGI shooting a documentary with 3 of his Indian crew members. The Indian crew members had 'hired' a ragpicker boy (aged around 10-11 years) & they were asking him repeatedly to pick the plastic bottles again & again (and 'slowly come down' from the train standing at the platform) so that they can get a best angle!!

Kerala serves the best beef in India. I tasted it on my last visit to the state.
I am salivating now just thinking about it.
Anyone planning a visit to Kerala, i suggest u try Beef fry with Kerala parathas.
It was so juicy and tender.
Just divine. hmmmm.

What is South Asia?ries too
by Chris on Apr 24, 2008 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

Clubbing India with Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar is really silly. Please stop using the term 'South Asia'. It is so derogatory of India, which has risen above the muck that these countries wallow in. In fact after seeing a fair portion of the Middle East one feels that India is far superior to any of these countries too. About these films, the firangs still think they can 'cow' down India. No way.
